Like....oklahoma state? Or is that exactly what you meant?

My emotions are similar. More mad after this one because I was there.

People seemed pretty upbeat after OSU

I guess I just kinda expected to beat Baylor.  Wasn't mad after the OSU game because I felt we played about as well as we could.  Still not mad about losing to top 5 Baylor but more disappointed than I was after the OSU loss.

i don't post as much anymore, but your post is bat sh*t ridiculous and childish

1) no one is really upset we lost today. a bit disapointed sure, but no one is really sad.

2) top 5 teams in football are more legit than top 5 teams in basketball. everyone is a top 5 team in basketball at some point.

leave football alone. what they did this year was heroic. xanax.

Yep.  This game was ours and we pretty much gave it to them.  Can't do that at home.

Yep. You just shouldn't lose a game at home when you have the lead and the ball after the under 4 time out.

It was at home. There's no upsets at home. Really disappointed, although I think Baylor is legit NC contender. They'd blow Duke out of the building.

Without losing focus on what the team can do this year, I'm really, really excited about where the program is going.

I think it was the 5-7 hand-offs from our Kstate guards at mid court straight to Baylors NBA talent to go slam it on the other end of the court that has me really butthurt today. But that's just me.  :dunno:

This was the killer. Points of TOs finished pretty even, but Baylor killed us in transition.

Points in the paint-BU 36,KS 32.
Points off turnovers-BU 30,KS 26.
2nd chance points-BU 8,KS 12.
Fast break points-BU 18,KS 7.
Bench points-BU 15,KS 13.

I wouldn't even consider most of those points transition.  It's not as if there were defenders anywhere near them.  14 of the 18 were probably dunks.

i'd be furious either way.  when you have the opportunity to win, you should to expect.  i mean, not being furious is why we let Jim stick around.

I agree with this. I don't see how you can't be disappointed with last night's loss.

I know it's just zack being zack. But seriously. How many opportunities did Jim have to beat top 5 teams. OSU 2004?

should be the sentiment regardless of the ranking.  Though I realize that was not the original question posed.

Taking solace in losing a close game is what losers do. rough ridin' pussies, who do you think you are? Iowa State? I'd rather get blown the eff out so I can detach myself emotionally before I want to kill myself like last night.

What sucks is when you get emotionally attached to blowouts and next thing you know you've got a $75 bar tab and a waning mid-afternoon buzz by the time the OU game is over. :frown:

Side note, what's fantastic about combo fans are they are not able to distinguish between a 2 point loss to the best team in the conference and a 15 point loss to Tech.  Also LOL at Abe.

Sometimes its a simple game, you know?

Just look at our last 7 possessions (and we still only lost by 2 and had the ball with a chance to tie/win!)

Poss 1: Angel TO (pass)
Poss 2: Angel TO (pass)
Poss 3: Jamar missed 3
Poss 4: Rod made lay-up
Poss 5: Rod TO (charge)
Poss 6: Gip TO (travel)
Poss 7: Angel/Jamar TO (pass)

So yeah, you shouldn't lose a game when you have the lead and the ball and turn it into a possession by possession game in the last 4 minutes. Especially at home.
