I'd prefer Frank's shitty coaching.

It wasn't the switch to zone, it was Southwells inability to find Teahan that was the issue.

It perfectly coincided with the collapse of our massive run and immediate return to futility in nearly every aspect of the game, so...seems like a solid talking point.

I hate the rough ridin' zone. I don't think Frank really buys into it. It's not a game changing defense for us.

Teahan first 3 was zone, 2nd was man

I don't see the thinking in zone when Trob is out of the game and KU's only spot up shooter in

Our "bigs" were fantastic . . . 6 for 19 from the floor.

going zone was bad choice IMO.  On ball pressure was creating more turn overs allowing us to get in a flow.  Terrible to move away from a defense predicated on doing what is working for you.  No way Southie should have been in one second over Nino in this game.  learned that after South's first appearance.

Teahan first 3 was zone.

it was when teahan's man got overaggressive/hyped by the run and doubled down trying to get a steal.

Southwell is the very definition of deer in the headlights.

Frank's "everybody run to the ball" defense is the perpetual 3 point wet dream of the spot up 3 point shooter.

looks like a combo of playing nino and going zone, but mainly going zone on the wrong possession. Clearly the deciding factor.

probably should have started a poll, damn.

maybe it was the lack of emotion from frank tonight?

We played soft for long stretches, didn't rebound, and didn't hit shots. It was a terrible performance overall with a few bright stretches from Jamar, McGruds, and JO. I guess I'll even give Nino a bit.

The rebounding was just pathetic though. Embarrassing. We can't win that way.

This. The guys played soft tonight. Credit KU, they came out and punched our guys in the mouth physically and our guys just stood around shocked on both ends of the floor. Would like to hear some suggestions from the blame-Frankites as to how to prepare guys to not roll over like little kids when they get shoved around a bit.

9 minutes left, score 39-36

1. zone
2. set shot three
3. answer
4. set shot three
5. 1-2 FT
6. Higgins doesn't call stiff arm on EJ, weakside defender rotates leaving the traveling dancer Relaford open - set shot three
7. Standing 60000 yards from the play, Higgins calls JHR for hooking when Whitey shoves him, JHR finishes and looks for and-one, The Spawn of Satan John Higgins says otherwise
8. KU Dunk
9. KU Dunk
10. KU Dunk
11. KU Dunk
12.  K-State down 15

jfc.  we failed to reach 50 points.  this should be the only talking point.  the defense was good tonight.  guard play on offense was a nightmare.  the bigs couldn't score because they rarely touched the ball within 15 feet of the goal.

All of this. Watching that KU team play I'm amazed KSU lost by 18. Falling apart after cutting it to 4 is mesmerizing. For those giving Nino praise, for every good thing he did he did something bad. I guess that should be expected. Irving should've had 33+ minutes. Just a lot of disappointment in this game, but they'll probably beat MU simply so KU fans can laugh at MU.

K-State is an average team that hasn't played anyone as good as KU all season.  No one on K-State's roster would start for KU.

This.  It's not hard to win at home when you get 24 more posessions than your opponent.  We have to do better on the boards.

I just want to know what Jeremy Jones did in the last two practices that resulted in him not entering the game until 4 minutes left in the 2nd half. We scored 49 rough ridin' points, how about letting a guy who can create his own shot and has been somewhat good the past few games actually play?

Pretty sure Frank indirectly/directly addressed this in the post game.  Said he played Nino because he was one of the few players who have been practicing well.  He said good practice habits carry over to games, certainly can't argue that with Nino last night.  He also said he won't play players who make mistakes in practice to make the same mistakes in games.  He said he doesn't care who the fans think he should play, he won't play guys not getting it done in practice as ling as he's the coach here.  Again thats how he's done it for four and a half seasons, can't really argue the results without looking like dax a fool.

We just got manhandled and raped all over the floor last night.  It usually like that in the piss barn so I expected things to be like that.  Was sitting there  someone for us would throw a punch that would ignite Trob going into full thug mode and getting him ejected from the game, although he probly gets away with that kind of stuff at home
