The Police in this country are out of control. This cowboy shoot first ask later stuff has to stop.

that looks like a gun imo
-
Going to go down the same way anywhere, sorry to say.
-
Kid was an idiot, parents should feel terrible for not teaching their son common sense, and should be shamed in front of the tri-state area. Police did what they are taught to do from the limited information.
-
Why are they bringing in the baseball team to investigate :dunno:

I agree that the cops made the right decision here. The gun looks real, and they can't just assume it's a pellet gun. :frown:

Militarization of the police is rampant in this country, especially after 9/11. Shooting a kid, who has not committed a violent act in the hallways of a school, is insanity. Cops are trigger happy, tazer happy, and out of control.
Mods- move to birther pit if you prefer

The preliminary investigation indicates that the suspect assaulted a student prior to the officers' arrival and made statements to witnesses that he was going to engage the officers with the weapon.
The gun looks real. Do you expect the officers to just take one in the chest before they fire back?

sad deal for all involved.

Maybe not put 3 bullets in him. Maybe not do kill shots. Maybe taze him with non-lethal force. Maybe consider it was a kid in a school who had not shot anyone.
But the cowboy crap cops pull gets a free pass these days.
-
If someone said they were going to shoot me with their gun, I'd hunt them down with a taser. That would probably do the trick.
:dubious:
The kid is an obvious dumbass if he brings a pellet gun and a knife to school, assaults someone, then threatens the police with his gun. One less idiot running around, I guess. That gun would look real enough from a distance. Also, the website says they told him to drop the gun and he wouldn't get rid of it. What did he think they were going to do?
-
Maybe not kill shots, I agree. Anyone that picks fights and runs for a gun, 'real' or not is a rough ridin' pussy.
This talk it out bullshit that America is on needs to stop. Actions have consequences. Lesson Learned.
-
guys, police are not trained ninjas. they are mostly high school educated townies. (for the record I have always come down on the anti-police side of these threads in the past)
-
The blood is on the hands of the parents. A 15 year old 8th grader ( :dubious: ) brings a gun to school, picks a fight with a random student and threatens him with a gun, then refuses to drop the weapon after the police told him to. I think people have a tendency to consciously or subconsciously give a pass to the parents because they feel so bad that they lost a child. eff that. This is on them. Raise your rough ridin' kids right and they won't get shot by police. Pretty simple.

If the gun were real, a cop that walks up to that kid with a tazer is a dead cop.

First the hybrid sharks, now this! Yea evolution! :emawkid:

Wow, CF3 is a dumbass.

Yes, more addition by subtraction. Human race comes out ahead on this one.

Also strongly anti-cop. Justified use of force in this case.
-
I will reserve judgment until I hear what Josh Hamilton finds. I suggest you all do the same.

Agreed... Did society a favor. If more stupid dipshits like this were removed from the gene pool we would be better off.
