Title: All kinds of potential...
Post by: kso_FAN on December 26, 2011, 09:59:52 AM
This Frank quote is a gem...

Quote
“I told our guys in the locker room before the game, you don’t win a championship with a hero, you win with a team,’’ Martin said. “We need all hands on deck and ready to go. That’s who we are — depth, energy and guys were sharp.’’

Rodney played like a hero though?

He just needed to know the pressure was off. Frank is BITB.

Frank should have been mic'ed up instead of Losery McLoserton.  Why didn't they mic them both up? Isn't that what they usually do, or do they usually just want to hear what the loser has to say so they can laugh at him and mock his inabilities?

the best part of Gip's ability to score is it has lessened the burden on Rod.  Even if Gip's best numbers are behind him, I think he will balance the team a lot on O, especially in the half court

I don't think Gip's best numbers are behind him, he's just being a freshman and going through the same thing Angel was earlier in the season. Those guys are going to be up and down much of the year, it's just the nature of pretty good 3 star recruits. Heck, even a more talentef guy like Bill Walker was up and down, very few frosh are going to come in at this level and be consistent high impact guys all season.

I think Gip's success is going to be due to matchups more than anything, although he is always going to have a positive impact the 15/10 games will be when the matchup is good.

The disrespect being shown to Pat Bosco, the amazing human being, by this board is unforgivable. This will not end well for KSU.

I think everyone here understands what Pat did for the JYCs , but if he wants the board to be continued to be named after him, there needs to be some fresh material.

Saying that a player has peaked during the noncon of his freshman year is one of the most Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!)  things I have ever heard and I grew up next door to a kid with down's.

Rodney played like a hero though?

Tay's defense was heroic.

Jamar's balance and consistency was heroic.

Spradling's calm was heroic.

JO's DOB was heroic.

Heroism exists beyond just points.

Give Gipson the beat-the-crap-out-of-their-bigs role when the matchup is bad.
