It's this kind of attitude that is destroying what this country is founded on....capitalism.  These Christians and the inability to embrace the reason for the season (consumerism) are eroding what our founding fathers fought for...lower taxes, the right to claim capital (land) from less developed cultures (OTSS!), and the growth of wealth.

I've even heard of Christian families refusing to let their children believe in Santa Clause.  No single "person" has been more important to the growth of capital and creation of wealth in America, if not the entire world, than Santa Clause.  Without Santa Clause you all might well be licking the Kaiser's boots or eating rice from Mao's hand.

Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson must be rolling over in their Unitarian graves at the thought of it.

Confirmed. Had the chance to pirate a few CDs I was planning to give to my dad. Instead I went to Target and bought them for a hefty sum just to shove it in the Pope's smelly face.
