Title: What has the KSU Administration done to ensure that the Mizzou game is attended?
Post by: Pete on December 22, 2011, 08:04:47 PM
The game is the day after the Cotton Bowl.

What, if anything, is our administration doing to calculate the reduced attendance from season ticket holders who are going to the bowl game...and what are they doing to assist in getting those tickets into the hands of fans who will use them?

WHAT?

If they've got the tickets sold, they should just open the doors up and fill it up with anyone that wants to come in.

Actually, this is probably a great idea.

They should absolutely do that with student tickets. Do it the same way they do games over break.

Transfer them to fellow goEMAW'rs, not FTRILEYOs.

Season ticket holders can log into their KSU ticket account and there's an option to e-mail the tickets to a specific person.  Do that or the scanning thing discussed a week or so ago.

Do so earlier rather than later. Evidently there is some time threshold that will no longer let you do it for a game if you do so too close to game time.

I couldn't do it same day for FAN last game. (Sorry FAN).  Don't know what the magic time limit before a game is, but heads the eff up.

If anyone won't be attending the Missouri game due to cotton combo fanship, I'd be more than happy to fill your seats for you.

Trying to do my part to support the StateCats,

I think people need their ticket cards for those standing room only tickets, so that's 2000 that can't pass their tickets on.

I read it was offered in the season ticket package and, therefore, is already sold out.

Great job KSU Admin!

I'll admit it. This thread is going right over my head.

My seats will be full though, obviously.  I don't want Frank to leave us.

This is the ultimate TSC opportunity.

There is a large fan base in the area that hates MU and has no bowl plans to interfere.  Just wear white fellow Kansans and root against the traitors from Missourah.

This combo fan is starting with hoops in Lowrents on Wednesday night, then hitting the Cotton Bowl and then pulling an all-nighter in the car to make tip vs. Mizzou on Saturday. It may kill me, but the projected 3-0 trip will allow me to die a happy man.  :driving:

Dec. 21, 2011

MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State announced today several options for men’s basketball ticket-holders to ensure that every seat in Bramlage Coliseum is filled for the Wildcats’ Big 12 Conference home opener against Missouri on January 7.

With the Wildcat football team playing in the 2012 AT&T Cotton Bowl on January 6, men’s basketball season ticket holders who plan on attending the bowl game and are unable to return to Manhattan can donate their basketball tickets to Fort Riley soldiers and families as well as area youth organizations through the K-State Athletics Ticket Office.

Those fans who cannot be in attendance on January 7 can donate their tickets by emailing [email protected] with their name and ticket location or by calling the ticket office at 1-800-221-CATS. Season ticket holders can also sell their tickets to other K-Staters online at k-statesports.com through Powercat Ticket Exchange.

“With the support and enthusiasm of our fans, Bramlage Coliseum continues to be one of the best atmospheres in the Big 12 Conference,” said Athletics Director John Currie. “We hope that all of our ticket purchasers are able to attend the game on January 7, but with our Cotton Bowl game in Arlington the night before, we felt it was important to provide these donation options to our fans to ensure that every seat in Bramlage Coliseum is filled.”

General Admission tickets to the Missouri game remain available for $60 each through the K-State Athletics Ticket Office or online at k-statesports.com. Fans in attendance will also be able to purchase a concessions special that includes a large popcorn and 22 oz. souvenir soda for just $4.

Fans can also start their New Year’s Eve celebration with the Wildcats in Bramlage Coliseum as K-State hosts Howard at 1 p.m. Tickets remain available for that game for as little as $15 when purchasing four or more. Group tickets are also available for both games - $10 for the Howard game and $30 for Missouri for purchases of 12 or more tickets. To order group tickets, fans can call Adam Prough in the Fan Experience and Sales office at (785) 532-6650.

Have you considered some slight stabbing/raping in aggieville to see if you can qualify for some of the Fort tickets?

As a college student, I'd fancy myself more in line with being an officer. From my experience it isn't the officers out raping and pillaging. I could try knocking a girl up before fleeing the country for a year though?  :dunno:

If you can't go, scan your tickets and save them as a .pdf file. Then email the file to someone who can use them. Saves the $5 will call fee and I can attest that the tickets printed on regular paper scan just fine.

I still have Gooch's ticket in 17 available if nobody on the platinum board takes it.  I think there may be some others to be distributed off the platinum board too.
