Title: Obama bouncin' back
Post by: K-S-U-Wildcats! on December 21, 2011, 10:18:30 AM
Obama's poll numbers are improving. Unexpected this is, and unfortunate.

I think a number of things may be in play, in order of probability:
1.  Unemployment down below 9%, and consumer confidence is ticking up.
2.  Republican presidential candidates have been behaving like assclowns recently as they fight amongst each other, making Obama look better by comparison.
3.  House GOP foolishly rejects the Senate compromise on payroll tax extension, which was a clear winner for the GOP.
4.  It's the holiday season, and people are in a better mood right now.

It's the same thing that makes a 6 look like a 9 when out with a bunch of 2's.

Reps have a bunch of bitchy 2's out in front of the public now.

Whenever he fades out of the limelight and congress quits trying to legislate nightmares on the public his poll numbers improve.  You'd think he'd have figured this out by now.

Having the MSM spin the Payroll thing as a victory for Obama (which makes absolutely no sense) helps quite a bit, but the media has been lying to the public since the Bush administration to the dems advantage.

FWIW, his numbers still aren't that good.

Not true. I've been getting an extra $80 in my paychecks that I use to fill the tank. Pretty happy about it.  Not good for Social Security stability, but that won't survive anyway.

I, for one, am ecstatic. An extra $177 in my pocket for two more months - maybe even a year! I think I might use this as seed money to start a new business and hire a bunch of people!

Not sure why you two mongoloids slithered back over here, but you do realize the "neocons" wanted twelve months of tax cuts and the libtard "victory" got us all two?

If roles had been reversed "Obama's victory" would be pegged as a "Defeat to the American Working Men and Women" [obama voice]

Of course its not about principle with the libs or what's best for the country, its about "winning" political victories.  Disgusting collection of envious, ignorant, adolescent little turds.

Political victory coined a "Punt" by MSM

http://in.reuters.com/article/2011/12/24/usa-taxes-idINDEE7BM0CS20111224

I think most would agree that a "punt" is about the best we can hope for with this administration.  The debacle was a "punt" from the get go, but has evolved into more of a safety, or even a pick-6.  I guess if you like unemployment, poverty, expensive medicine and energy, endless wars, class warfare, and general misery, punts are pretty awesome.

:slowclap:

It is exclusively about winning political victories for libtards, conservitards, libertaritards, and sociatards. When they get the chance to cloak it in "principle" it is no more than an ancillary benefit.
