I'm thinking the best case scenario for KST right now is that they need to get Snyders successor in the system ASAP before we end up in the same spot as we were with Prince. WHat about Veneables as HC Mangino as Assistant or OC?
-
Wellllp.
-
Venables will never coach at K-State again. :dubious:

Denied.
-
Venables stinks.
-
Why do you need a new coach in the system, having just hired Weiss?

Prince Michael? or the Artist Formerly Known As?

Because Weiss just ate himself, there weren't enough buffet's in Manhattan.
-
Veneables does not stink maybe he could help Cosh to where we finally have a real defense. And whether you want to think it or not Mangino is a good offensive mind. I think it could be a great combo. And if not Veneables then who. Id love Leavitt but Im sure thats a pipe dream. All I know is that someone needs to get in and learn the system or when Snyder leaves or we will suck again.

Maybe he could find more buffets in Lawrence.

I could be wrong, but I see no evidence that having a HCIW leads to future success. It's about what state the program is when a new coach arrives more than anything and support from administration. Just get a guy that can recruit, coach, and hire a staff.
-
Mangino vs Weiss in a corndog eating contest. Winner gets the job.
-
This thread is just awful
-
what ever happened to threadrater?
-
Is this the worst thread in history?

i want a coach that throws tight spirals and makes diving 1 hand catches in his sleep. this coach in my dreams can cook a killer lasagna and knows his way around the backyard grill. he or she will have a great smile and even better attitude towards life. a leader who knows how to designate authority, my dream coach also dreams of me. i'll see you soon, friend.

Agree..
Assuming that we can repeat this years success, around this time next year or 2013 would be the best time to bring someone in and not a HCIW. We will be senior heavy next year but if we can work some of our new comers into the mix and give possible new coaches something to look forward to I'd say this is our best bet. Either way the next two years will tell us a lot about the direction of our team.

in all seriousness, the best case scenario is let Snyder run this train into the ground so hopefully the next guy has low/no expectations for the first two year and there will be no one calling for "continuity" or similar nonsense. I'm talking like a couple of 3 or 4 win seasons before a coaching change
-
Our new coach should be a DITR; it only makes sense and I think we deserve it.
-
Venables nailed Jack Vaniers daughter on a drunken night and yes she was married to Bob Krause. At least thats what I gather

Tried that with Prince... Snyder's last 3 seasons we're comparable to Prince's when he took over and he still got the meat grinder. Our bet bet is that Snyder get's a bionic heart and will live forever

Have you seen her? I would imagine Brent

BV was obviously date-raped.

NO. Bill told everyone the time was right to leave because we were returning lots of players and were going to be good in 2006.

Those players who wrangled a string of 4 and 5 win seasons were due to break out in '06 under the superlative guidance of Prince

It's what was sold at the time. And it pretty much happened, really. Prince would have been much better served by Snyder keeping his mouth shut.

I want a coach with fingernails that shine like justice. And a voice that is that is dark like tinted glass. He is fast and thorough and sharp as a tack. He's touring the facilities and picking up slack.
I want a coach with a short skirt and a long, long jacket.

HCIW is a dumb idea, and rarely works out. Much of the time the dude coaches somewhere else. Will hire someone capable when OB calls it quits.

When Bill's body begins to fail him, his brain will be transplanted into Sean's body, and when Sean's body wears down they will transfer Bill's brain into Tate's body. Imagine Bill as a hermit crab. Sean and Tate are the new shells.

To point this thread in a constructive direction...
Can we agree that Venables stinks? He's handsome, sure. Not denying that. I mean, Who could, really?
But as a coach: PU!

Would take Vennables over Snyder. Leavitt or patterson should be priority though.

If you thought the reaction to sean's promotion to special teams coach and associate head coach was bad wait until Dana and Del retire in the spring. What better way to show how great your son is than make him the "OC" for the best Offense the wildcats will put on the field in ten years.
