In late October ISU looked like they might win 4 games after starting Big 12 play with 4 lopsided losses. However, Rhodes did his thing with a win at Tech, and then the shocker over OSU. They competed in Norman and had an unimpressive win against KU mixed in and in many ways their formula has been similar to ours; a strong running game featuring the option, a good return game, and taking advantage of turnovers. In fact probably the key features to their 3 game winning streak were running for 200 yards in each game (nearly 400 vs Tech) and being +2 in TOs in each of their wins over Tech and OSU.
However, ISU has some key weaknesses; namely an inability to score on offense (#114 in points per play at .30) and a very high rate of turning the ball over (#114 in TOs per play at .034). They have only scored over 30 points twice in Big 12 play and have had 3 or more TOs in 8 of their 12 games. Defensively they have been similar to K-State; slightly better in YPP and PPP given up, but slighly worse in forcing TOs. They are also similar in the return game both offensively and defensively, however they have not scored on a return and have given up return points.
ISU is good enough to compete and win in Manhattan, but it will take K-State having uncharacteristic mistakes in at least 2 phases (and probably all 3) to lose this game. ISU likely has to win TO margin by +2/3, win special teams, AND be much more explosive on offense than they've been in any other game. I just don't see all those things happening; K-State's experience, a much more efficient offense, and a chance at a Big 12 title will be too much for ISU to overcome.

We're going to mop the floor with these losers.

We're going to mop the floor with these losers.
I hope we do, but it will probably be competitive. I could see it going similar to ISU's game with aTm.

basically think of the last walking taco PAK that we all attended and then rename it Walking Taco PAK ALPHA and you've got this weekend's Walking Taco PAK ALPHA

I'm hoping he means that Curry Sexton is too injured to play and that Snyder decided that the rest of Brod's suspension could be carried out in the spring game.

"We're definitely hoping that he's back and can maybe show us like he was at the beginning of the season and have a blowout game," defensive end Jordan Voelker said.

Obviously, Garden is his hometown. And it was thanksgiving break on top of that. Can attest to the fact that he was in Waters Hall, room 351, at 9:30 this morning.
Beyond that, after the first game he sat out Brod told me personally that he was "banged up a bit". Don't know if I believe it, he appeared to be walking fine. A person I know with insidery type info thinks he was caught smoking weed. Don't know, nor care. Glad he'll be back on the field.
-
getting a bit of an emaw chubbie right now. just thought i would share.
-
Hmm. Pretty sure half this board swore they had inside knowledge that CK was badly injured and Synder was some terrible human for playing him. Guess bruises count as injuries for some of you sally ass retards.
-
brod's twitter: "cinco's back"
guess that clears that up, probably. maybe.

Yes, elite tats do give one the power to abuse and humiliate teams named after meteorological phenomena such as Hurricanes and Cyclones.
Brod is such an amazing football player.
[:confidence rising:]
-
The best part about that gif is you think the corner is going to go down and then Brod picks him up and throws him back even further.

Looks like floodaggie might be able to limit our opportunities out of the Wildcat. That traitorous whore of a scumbag Blake Bell had 8 rushes for 14 yards, with 7 yds coming on one attempt, and a pick on the one pass he threw. Obviously we still win by 78 points, but we may have to leave the starters in a little longer than usual.
-
We will score a touchdown on roughly 1/5 of the game's plays. They will have the ball for 3 plays and a punt. Then we will score on our first offensive play. Rinse, repeat.

Are we not going to kick off after our touchdowns?

Touche. Adjust expectations to scores on 1/5.5 plays. Don't adjust all the way to 1/6 because we are bound to force some turnovers.

Good point. Plus the fact that in their regular offense OU rarely (if ever?) runs any sort of power running game, its all inside/outside zone or pass protection. Power running game is a staple for us. Makes a difference IMHO.

Hope you are right, but I have never seen anyone stop them yet w/ Bell in the wildcat. Against moldaggie they went 4 of 8 for no gain. Goal line or not that is not too shabby.

Yeah, they had one real stop, the dumb throw, and 2 TDs. And even on the stop they still had 4th and short and Bob elected to have Landry come out and throw an incomplete pass. Plus they got cute and tried to run speed option out of it once and a sort of counter thing. I bet if they just line up and run power/lead every time they likely have 4 TDs out of it. JMHO.

Against A&M Bell had 12 carries and only 1 no gain, Baylor 5 carries 4 tds. We stuffed him for a loss once and he fumbled one snap.
Relatively, you rough ridin' douches, ISU did a better job than most other teams. But if _fan says OU did not run power straight at them it does undermine the point somewhat.

Per Mark Jannnnsennn
Season ticket holders who have held season tickets since Coach Snyder arrived in 1989 will be recognized and receive a commemorative plaque in appreciation of their continued support of the "Greatest Turnaround in College Football History."
I guess they will have to recognize like 120,000 people.
Every time someone criticizes the football program the standard response is "I've had season tix since 1982. If you want to go back to those days, be my guest...."
This recognition will probably start at 0400. Will be good to finally lay eyes on this elite species of fan...

Its fair to say ISU did well against it, I won't argue that. But I do think Bob overthought things a lot in that game, Bell-dozer or otherwise. How many times did OU gash them for several nice runs, then throw 3 incomplete passes or short gains and have to settle for FGs or punt? Again, ISU did a nice job keeping them (and Tech/OSU) from scoring which they deserve credit for, but I also think those teams did some dumb stuff gameplan/scheme wise that helped ISU.
