Post by: kstate16 on November 23, 2011, 11:40:54 PM
I thought we were going to see much more minutes for him. Is frank just really against people who an score the ball?

Have not seen him much, but looks pretty good (hence the high rating) probably doesn't defend yet ala Brown and Russell.

He will be a needed defender on the perimeter this year.

:TeamEMAPE:

people (including our Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) combo podcasters) aren't giving him a chance.  he isn't some throwaway spring juco.

Has good range, nice body.  Seems like he can rebound fairly well.  I think his PT is impacted by Southwell's jack-of-all-trades game right now, but I haven't been paying that much attention to the rotations yet because of the early competition.

I don't see why he couldn't end up averaging something similar to the nine minutes a game he saw at St. John's by the time the season is over.

I think he looks v athletic in what we have seen so far.  I think it is either a buy in or quit thing or a doesn't fit in the rotation thing at this point.

I'm very pro-EMAPE but I still have a hard time discerning if he's gone fat/old or is jacked, let alone what position he plays.

He plays weird for a jacked 2-guard.

the relative smallness of his legs to his upper body doesn't give me a lot of confidence

I'm noticing a suspicious pattern...."Downtown" Freddy Brown, 95, EMAPE....

Omari is throwing down dunks in pregame, not youtube worthy stuff, but adequate for what you'd expect from a high major wing.

With Gruds, Southwell, Nino, Omari, and even Vic getting minutes there, we've just got a real logjaim there on the wing.

Omari looked very good in the open scrimmage, brought everything I thought he might be able to bring - slashing toughness, playmaking ability, and good shooting - but unfortunately the minutes have just not come in the real games yet. I really can't promise that they will as he's not head and shoulders better than our other options, but I'd like to see it as I think he could give us a more dynamic presence there.

He'll play when Frank gets pissed about practice habits or someone has an eye hernia or something.  Another Frankism that happens every year.  I can't think of one of these type dudes who didn't get to prove himself at some point.  95 getting minutes in conference play last year made me want to punt an infant.

Not if the Ojeleye family has anything to say about it.  Can Semi just commit to KU already so we can dump Merriweather Jr?

ku not a threat for Semi(MOKAN!), 3rd person rumblings from O-town indicate Wiscy is the team to beat right now and that Stanford might be able to make a push.

It's really been a while since we've seen an actual update on Semi from a recruiting service, but I know KSU is still hanging around and just hope we can somehow prevail in the end.

I believe that Oklahoma State is also making a push for him.  They want him pretty badly also.

Semi's known offers to date: KSU, Wisconsin, OK St, Marquette, OR St, and Missouri.

Per DeAnte Mitchell's twitter, Oregon recently stopped through O-town to watch him workout.
