Title: CK and AB rumors
Post by: XocolateThundarr on November 17, 2011, 05:18:31 PM
Via Shaggy

Apparently there are a few threads on KSUs rivals board stating that both CK and Arthur Brown are out for the game this week. Could be some people trolling but who knows....

Saw CK on campus, I'm not a doctor so I can't be entirely sure, but it looks as if his right arm had been amputated.

Look like the stitches will hold up during the game Sat. night?

Surely there would be a legit report if Klein wasn't practicing this week. No way to keep that a secret. Do they even have an indoor practice facility?

Don't know whether to  or

I have no sympathy if all you fuckers that bet against Texas lose your money, your house, get your legs broken, etc. You can throw all your bullshit logic at me about how free money is free money. I don't give a eff. True fans don't bet against their team. I would love to see Texas beat the eff out of K-State. I don't care how unlikely it is, I can't wait for the game.

Actually betting against your team is the best thing to do. They win, you lose money but you're happy. They lose, it sucks but :dollarsigns:

Betting on your team is the true dumbass move. Like every college's tuck section and the entire Nebraska fanbase does

Used to bet some decent sums on the Cats during the DoD.  Haven't bet more than like $50 on them since and that was always just a bet with a friend.  Sure as hell wouldn't be betting on them this year.

Yes, it's a lose-lose imo. I'd much rather bet on the Cats or better yet, not bet at all.

The hedge is definitely not overrated.  The only people who say that are people that have never seriously bet on sports and loved the cats at the same time.  People who bet on KSU no matter what and get angry if you bet against them like you are a lesser fan are not people who you should be discussing sports betting with anyway because they are generally betting $50 a game for the novelty of betting.  I will never bet on KSU but I will hedge the crap out of my emotions against the cats and cheer for us as hard as I would have anyway.

You sound like LHC Bill Snyder, hedging his bets in the recruiting game by only going after the 3 stars.

My bet has no impact on the KSU outcome though some of our fans seem to think it does.  I don't bet against us every game though I can actually see the logic in betting the amount of money you would pay for the cats to win to remain emotionally neutral.  I do bet against us when I don't think we will cover the spread and as a bonus you can get paid and get a cats victory.  I don't bet against the cats when we are underdogs (most of this season) because you run the risk of losing your money and losing the game and the value of the moneyline on the favorite in this situation is bad to me.  If you seriously bet and seriously love the cats and are reading this and aren't a dumbass (these qualifiers probably leave zero of you) this makes perfect sense.

isn't the funny part that the gpc posters are posting it as a joke, and it's basically true, except that snyder is forcing them to play to the detriment of their long-term health?

i just meant it was funny because it was ironic that the posters think they're lying to trick texas posters, but that it's almost true, just that the players mentioned are expected to play through their serious injuries.  not that it was funny that they'll be in exquisite pain, or risk permanent injury.

i just added the part about snyder forcing them to play because it shows that he's an bad person, not because it's funny.

i wanted to clarify anyways, because i post a lot of laughing faces when mu and a&m players and coaches get injured or whatever.  but i know it's only funny when it happens to them, not when it happens to kstate.  even if it's just for a game with texas, and it doesn't really matter if kstate wins or not, because texas and kstate are like brothers so if we lose it's fine.

Remaining emotionally neutral completely defeats the purpose of watching the game for me.

Yeah, I can understand your point. I was just saying why I don't personally bet against the cats. I'd rather feel pain after a loss than remain neutral after a win. I only made the Snyder comment earlier because it was the most Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) thing I've ever heard a head coach say and I just felt like throwing it out there.
