I wonder what the NCAA Tournament record is against Mid-Majors?
After March of next year, KU fans will be posting "But we were 165-22 in the 5 years before this past season".

It does help getting K-State at least twice on the schedule every year.

I'd be more interested in winning percentage in a 5 year span if I'm handing out some bluest of blue bloods title.

I'm pretty sure KU made the Elite Eight last year, while K-State was sent packing in the first weekend.

Wow. Must have been pretty disappointing to only make it that far with all that NBA talent.

You know you're elite when getting to an Elite Eight is "disappointing."

Upsets happen, which makes it even more incredible that K-State hasn't sniffed a Final Four since the 1960's.

i'm pretty sure we sniffed one when we went to the elite eight two years ago.

Denied!
Not even the best stretch of college basketball in the last 5 years. (UCONN women 182-8 in the last 5 years.)
Not even the best individual NCAA mens Div I coaching effort in the last 5 years:
John Calipari was 172-17 from 2005-2010 and 168-22 from 2006-2011 (Memphis & Kentucky)
Definately not the best 5 year winning percentage ever.
Duke went 164-19 or 89.6% from 1997-2002.
UCLA went 335-22 from 1963-1975 (Wooden lost 22 games in 12 years 93.8%, only took self 5 years to lose 22 games 88.2%)
Kentucky went 241-20 from 1945-1953. (92.3% over 8 years)
It did help KU to average more than 37 games played per season. The NCAA champions for many years averaged less than 30 total games per season.
Not really the bluest of the blue bloods, just a very good team that got to play CU, NU, and ISU a minimum of 6 games per year!

1. We're talking men's college basketball.
2. We're talking programs, not coaches.
3. We're talking wins, not winning percentage.

It's amazing what a steller performance against Fort Hays will do for their confidence. I was anticipating this after the Pittsburg game, but that was such an underwhelming performance, I guess they had to wait.

Are you rough ridin' kidding me? I know you're not. Yes, you guys have the most wins in 5 years because teams are playing more games. But Jesus Christ, how do you discount numbers that kick the piss out yours for not fitting in your conveniently constructed 5 year span? Idiocy.
