I wish he was still healthy because A) it always sucks when a player gets injured and B) losing their best RB will encourage A&M to pass more, and with our defense that means...(https://goemaw.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi121.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fo210%2FGCullins%2FwvX9d.jpg&hash=6385ef6b84eb49d68a87c4cdb55bde6cf0f4ca39)

He's a good player, but we've already played 5 QBs (maybe 6) better than Tannehill. Let's not get carried away here.

He also leads the league in INTs.

OU lost Whaley on the 1st play.  :dunno:

aTm relies on running the ball much more than OU. 41% of aTm's total yards are from the run compared to 30% of OU's. Also, OU is much more explosive throwing, averaging over 1 more YPA than aTm. Tannehill is solid, but he's no Jones. Or Weeden. Or Griffin. Or Doege. Or Franklin. Heck, Webb has a better QB rating.

They still have Cyrus Gray

They still have Cyrus Gray

Yes, but for the year they have been splitting carries, almost evenly combining for 33 carries a game. Now Gray will take on the bulk of the load and some other back (besides Tannehill and the QB run game) will have to take on some of it. (they have no other back that averages more than 1 carry a game) It changes what they do, especially when Gray is already banged up, its not like they are going to be able to give it to him 30 times. Plus, Michael is their big back (5-11, 215#) and I think he would've given our smaller LBs more trouble.

Don't get me wrong, aTm is good. Tannehill is a solid QB, Gray is a good back, and Swope is an explosive reciever. But this offense is not what we've seen the past two weeks; they are not even better than 5 of the Big 12 offenses we've already seen. Take out their best and biggest back and the guy who accounts for 46% of their rushing yards per game and I think it matters. Especially when aTm relies on running the ball much more than most (OU, OSU, TT, BU) of the teams we've already seen and had trouble with the pass against.

This only increases the chances of at least 2 INTS by aTm and increases the chances that Hartmann will be cursed as he chases down receivers while they race down the sidelines. That being said, Gray has taken a step back this year, this is a big loss for aTm.

Christine Michael vs. Tyler Lockett

our injury trumps theirs x 2.

So now they'll end up running for only 28% of their O and make up the difference passing?  :ohno: :runaway: :ohno: (ftp://:ohno: :runaway: :ohno:)
