probably pretty mad I bet
-
I wouldn't be upset at all. Life goes on, congrats to KU, if it happens.
-
pretty mad. pull the trigger ol'miss.
-
More sad than anything. Really wanted him on our side.
Happy for little bro though, I guess.
-
there isn't a chance in hell that BGL would sign off on such a hire. they just cleaned out the office of another "abusive" coach, they wouldn't touch the pirate.
that said, if it were to happen, i would be proud of KU and welcome the pirate back to the conference with open arms.
-
I mean, sure, I'd rather have the Pirate on our sideline, but at this point, it's just not going to happen. Snyder won't step down in the next two years. We just have to hope some other big name coach gets fired when the timing works out.
-
I would be sad, because it would mean they would domimate us.

yeah. they didn't just get rid of one abuser to go hire another abuser. they won't hire him and he wouldn't go there. same thing for rich rod probably. don't think they'd touch him.
-
Wouldn't bother me because I don't have a hard on for him
-
No way KU can afford to pay Leach what he wants.

BOOM! headshot.
-
I dont think Leach would take KU.
-
I dont think Leach would take KU.
This. He would never work for people that cared so little about football.

Was on with Nick about 3 wks ago. Nick asked. Mike said it is a good job in a great conf. I don't think he is much of a politician. He would take it.

hopefully Ole Miss hires him. I can't take OBZ losing more games to Pirate Mike.

he did an interview 6 months ago or so...basically said he wants a school that has had some sort of tradition and to bring it back. He would have to be REAL desperate to go to KU, imo.

I would take The Pirate almost any way I could get him, but not like this.
Would love to see him at O' Miss.
-
How did he do in his efforts to replace Stoops at 'Zona?
-
If the choices were between KU and Ole Miss I would think he would choose KU no question. The SEC is so freaking tough and you're competing against 13 other teams instead of 9. Also, there are 4 big 12 teams in the state of Texas (where Leach will be recruiting the most) and only one SEC team. Plus, it's been proven that you can make a BCS game at KU. It's not an impossibility
-
It's not an impossibility
-
So KU is in debt up to their ears and yet they can afford to pay the buyouts of Mangino and Gill, and then spend more money to hire a high profile head coach- How the eff is this possible?

It's not, they won't, nothings impossible just highly unlikely. Coaches don't run away from a coaching job because the competition is too good, and the days of no OU or TU in the same season are over. If they find a way to hire leach great for them, best of luck on that one.
-
They'll never land him. KU is a joke on the field, and with the check book.
-
Would prefer them to hire Leach instead of Sumlin or Fedora, both of whom are better coaches.

I think Pirate Mike is still too hot to handle. He's still only 2 years removed from being called crazy...and not in a fun way.

He is a bit sue crazy. which is great.

I'd be bent out of shape not pissed. When OBz finally deems waters calmed and heads for the sunset and we pick up another Bold and Daring THEN I'd be pissed. Make no mistake, I am on the hire Leach bandwagon for us for sure, but we're WAY too Busch League for that, makes too much sense.
-
Leach doesn't make that much sense. Would rather have rich rod.
-
weird thread from a great goEMAW poster...hmmm...
-
I think it's pretty much a done deal. With its rich tradition and deep pockets, whomever KU targets, KU gets.

I still think this Harbaugh thing has some life...
-
ku is a dream destination job, except for the bunch of ignorant fools to the west who get lucky and win football games.

Former Texas Tech coach Mike Leach says he’s interested in the opening at Ole Miss, according to the Commercial Appeal. The Ole Miss position became open after Houston Nutt’s firing on Monday.

This is the kind of thread dreams are made of.

I knew you'd enjoy it. I don't know why you started a new thread after I scooped ya though.
-
Leach has enough stink surrounding him that he would consider the ku job. I would be majorly upset about it. They would kick the crap out of us on a regular basis and challenge for conference titles. Would be epic disaster for K-State football. We need to stop this at all costs.
-
Wouldn't bother me because I don't have a hard on for him
This, he's a great coordinator, an adequate big xii coach. he wouldn't win crap at ku, nobody can
-
Fatass went to an Orange bowl there sugar dick.

pfffft :jerk:
-
Fatass went to an Orange bowl there sugar dick.
100 year perfect storm. Won't happen again.
-
Would be horrible.....absolutely horrible*.
First we'd have to hear the righteous indignation from the 'tucks
- "No way he'd be a better coach than Snyder, I'm just happy to have the legend while we do"
- "Who needs 'em. Sean's been Assistant HC for a couple of years now and around the program all of his adult life -- there's no one I'd rather have in charge. Besides, we saw what happened last time we hired someone outside the Snyder family"
Then, the joyous over-exuberance as Leach slowly builds a team
- "See?!? See?!? Not even Leach can win at KU. He's no HOFLHCWTFBS."
- "Yeah he's winning, but he's not doing it the way that 'Bill' would do it."
Then the excuse making phase:
- "It's not LHCBS's fault. It's all Cosh's fault. If only Snyder would replace him............."
- "I just couldn't enjoy that style of offense. Give me power option and ball control offense all day long"
- "Well, it's not like we ever had a shot at getting him as HC anyway"
Then the overjoyed reaction when he abandon's KU:
- "Who wants a coach like that? I want someone who WANTS to be here"
* from a bbs'ing standpoint
