dece question.
we had a ton. I'll go with the 77-65 loss to them in Bramlage his 1st year. huge improvment after 99-00 embarrasment at bramlage.
There was also that game where we led 54-53 and collison just fouled out, and the crowd was going crazy. We ended up losing 82-64 (lavender game), but it was close for a while and the wools did a nice job of milking that.
-
04-05 season, 65-74 loss in Fred Bramlage Coliseum. the entire season was a moral victory. we also played them close in lawerence, 65-72...which lead to another close-ish loss in the big 12 tourney 67-80, after we handled A&M (I believe Pete and I paid $80 a piece for two tickets from a MU fan to watch that loss).
-
You guys act like we don't lose to ku anymore.

yeah, then we kept wooly following the 80-67 loss. i friggin lost it.

Def the first lavendar game. Terrible last 10 minutes.
-
people say wooly was a nice guy. but look at the scarred, broken husks he left in his wake. it's not nice.
-
I need some help as most of Wooly's games run together in my mind. Cats hit a buzzerbeater 3 to send a game to overtime then got drilled in OT at the Bram. What game was that? I thought it was a KU game, but can't seem to find anything to back it up. Only reason I say KU game was because hitting the 3 made it the loudest Bramlage was during my time at KSU.

OU. Tim Ellis 3. :longsigh:
-
The Wildcats (13-7, 3-6) uncorked a 14-2 run that included Fred Peete's 3-pointer followed by five straight points by Jeremiah Massey. Cartier Martin's jumper brought the crowd to its feet and sliced the lead to 58-54 with 4:21 to go.
:runaway:

Remember it well.
That play was all sorts of jacked up. We almost lost the ball a couple of times, somehow got it to Tim and he actually made it. Man I loved Tim.
Cool story. His last year he had a crush on one of my friends. And he ended up watching the NCAA championship game with us at Bobby T's.

top 10 teams don't get moral victs. just a tia, could be wrong.

No, the point is that we're legitimately pissed when we lose now.
-
It used to be a no win situation for KU when they played K-State... KU wins, and it's because they're supposed to. KU loses, and it's a huge upset, and an absolute embarrassment for KU. These days, K-State is a legitimate top ten type of team that can hang with anyone in the country. It's much more fun beating you guys now, and I thank you for that.
