Hilarious direct shot at LHC Bill Snyder imo
-
Bill was probably sending an email to some 2 star recruit. Martin's like, JFC old balls stand the shazbot! up.
-
i don't believe bill was there. which means that he's a jayhawk, iirc.
-
Correct, Snyder wasn't there.
-
I stand by my statement :blank:
-
Robert would not leave our area in the first half :curse:
Said we need "Meow Power" and to kick a field goal everytime we had the ball :chainsaw:
I told him to eff off several times (sorry GPC visitors)
-
means he's gone. IMO. Hates our fans.
-
Franks only got to stand up and turn around if he wants to yell at the more silent fans. The best-seat holders always seem to bring zilch enthusiasm to the games. Like " I paid my money, now entertain me, Frank." Sections 13 and 14 are weak asses too. Do we not feel the need to get loud to distract our opponents FTs? I have to sit around a bunch of kids and parents who spectate only. I want new seats. I got a mom of 2 telling me that if I want to dance and yell I should go to the already crowded student section. WTF is this world coming to?? Hey lady, STFU, okay? You don't want to participate? Leave. Take those annoying ass kids with you. Tell them to pay attention and stop crawling all over the damn seats like its a playground. What, you pay 350 bucks each for seats they can't even sit down in and now you're pissed at me?? GMAFB. Apologies to the parents of small children who post on this board. I'm not a parent so I don't know the troubles with kids and I don't pretend to know. I do know that I'm glad there is only one home game left. My suffering will soon be over.
-
Father of two...two kids that have yet to see the 'gon for this very reason.
That, and I want to cheer, rather than worry where they are and whose crap they are getting into.
I got sect 12 seats in the nosebleeds. Good level of participation there. Even the old folks stand and cheer up there.
-
kids are not the issue, there is a toddler in our section that fist pumps her ass off.
-
Midget???
-
The best-seat holders always seem to bring zilch enthusiasm to the games.
They bring the $$$$$. That's their enthusiasm...and in some instances...there are rich, AND animated fans. Some of the ranchers might fall into this category. Depends on if they hit the whiskey prior to gametime.
-
Like to know which site Snyd's sells his tix, pretty choice.
-
Apologies to the parents of small children who post on this board. I'm not a parent so I don't know the troubles with kids and I don't pretend to know.
no one asked them to reproduce. don't apologize.
-

proper etiquette mandates that you give him till the 15:00 minute mark to fill his seats. after that, it's open season.
-
Parents of small children are the worst. Arrogant, holier than thou pricks for the most part. Feel free to tell them (and their kids) to f*ck off.

it can go both ways though. i've only taken a kid to two games and one of them was when i took a two week old to the crazy loud mizzou game three years ago. he slept the entire time but that didn't stop everyone in the place giving me dirty looks. two totally separate people actually commented how the noise could be dangerous to his ears. and maybe it wasn't a good environment for him. it was all i could do to not just slap them. rough ridin' retards.
-
HCIW Snyder was there in HC Snyder's seats.

And abortion is always an option. And in most of their cases, prolly recommended.

Kids are fine as long as you watch them/keep them occupied.
Unless they are kicking the seat of a well known coach at K-State and said coach turns around and asks them to stop.
-
I liked when Frank downed that Mug root beer or whatever. Looked extremely refreshing.

heck... i've taken my kids to the indy 500 and they fall asleep... any parent that doesn't embrace the college atmosphere (especially the winning atmosphere) needs to meet steve dave out back after the game :bang:
-
kids are not the issue, there is a toddler in our section that fist pumps her ass off.
this. i took my son (2.5 to 3 at the time) to almost every game when i had student reserved tics in section 18. he paid attention to the games, did the ..."for three," fist pumped his brains out, yelled at refs, etc. Only thing i didn't want him repeating is bad words, but that is inevitable so might as well have that convo while he is young and not stress over it. besides, better for him to hear it while emawing it up than somewhere else right? the kid is total emaw and always has been. he has ridiculous hbbiq for a 3.5 yr old.
anyways, he saw frank yelling at the crowd at he yelled at the tv, "come on people get up! Dad why are they not being loud?"

ROFLMAO, totally a pro-choicer here. In fact, I think that it shouldn't be a choice at all, the government should be allowed to tell you to abort if you're too much of a rough ridin' Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) to adequately raise a child into a decent human being.

Never really got why some ignorant fans think that the folks who are bank rolling the KSU athletic department have any responsibility to provide "atmosphere". gmafb. If it were an option, I'd like nothing better than to keep all the broke-ass students out and fill BSFS and OoD with silent, rich folks who are paying exorbitant amounts to be there. Sorry guys, but $$$$ wins in college athletics, not atmosphere.

KSU just needs to sell beer at the OOD and all will be solved. Will make the quiet side less quiet. Would capture all the lost revenue from the students sneaking in their own or slamming in the parking lot.
Really a win-win situ, imo.

Very Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!)
-
I'm sorry you guys can't afford to contribute to the Ahearn fund. Have you seen the atheltic budgets for the perennial college powers? BTW, I wonder if Frank Martin would be more likely to stay at KSU if: a) the new b-ball facility was fully paid for or b) the blue hairs yelled more at b-ball games?
-

I don't understand your response (other than you think I am a Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!), which actually makes me laugh). Are you saying the b-ball facility has nothing to do with Martin staying or leaving? I'd have to disagree.

Has nothing to do with raising money or our budget. There are plenty of good seats up for grabs if someone wants to pay for them. If you think moving the student section or getting rid of it is going to solve any sort of budget problem you are Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!). And, if it is purely hypothetical, I would choose to just hit oil and give all the tickets out for free to people less than 35 years old

Or just fill the OoD with "rich-ass" students.

Frank loves the environment. It shows how loyal we are, therfore he will be loyalstoausrandcstay.aI'llspickmB
-
older folks just want to complain because they were there in Ahearn during the hay days, and they are ticked because the punk ass students get premium seats in the OoD + we are attaining elite status. basically their argument is illogical see below:
"...walked up hill in snow both ways..." in no way equates to "...i hate iphones"
"...walked up hill in snow both ways... " equates to "...i'm stuck in the past and can longer relate to the current college athletics culture, and i only hate iphones because i cannot operate one without becoming very confused"
-
felt really bad after he yelled at me. i was sick, Frank. and i had a bad cough and sore throat. the few times i did yell was audible only a few rows around me.
plus i was like this when he did it  because refs were wasting like 5 minutes trying to keep mizzou from doing an illegal substitution.

Don't disagree with that, and maybe I didn't spell it out well enough, but I would only ban the students if they were replaced by rich folks paying exorbitant amounts, which isn't an option at KSU as you pointed out, thus "IF IT WERE AN OPTION" in my original post.
My point wasn't to get rid of students. My point was that it's stupid to criticize the folks who are footing the bill because they don't don't yell loud enough. I will concede that atmosphere is valuable, but $$$ >>> atmosphere.
-
Martin has done this before. Several times.

see my post above. "footing the bill" = "uphill in snow both ways/I was at Ahearn" and "atmosphere" = iphone wielding, fist pumping students

Clearly the best hypothetical attendance solution is 12k+ of these.

I agree with your premise, to a point. Old people can be annoying, especially when they are KSU fans, but I think it could also be said that if anyone undertands the current culture of college athletics, it's the folks who are filling coffers.

Meh. I would bet that if you asked Frank, he would gladly take more donations over less Bob Chipman comments. I also bet that IF IT WOULD HELP (<--hypothetically speaking) Frank would gladly take more blue hairs and less students in the OoD if that's what it took to get him and his staff a raise and get his b-ball facility built.

Your hypothetical statements are pointless. He would also hypothetically take katkid winning powerball, giving a huge chunk to the University and paying for the entire place to be packed with screaming students losing their mind as opposed to your scenario.

No doubt, and if katkid does that, he can do whatever the hell he wants when he attends the games and no one should complain about it.
Again, my point is not to get rid of the students and poor people.

I would f^cking complain about it! Luckily, with KK, we have nothing to worry about. You sound like Babs at the KC Catbacker meetings.

they hate Clemente and think he should be pulled from the game for any mistake. it's a huge leap in logic for them to deduce that any mistake should cause a benching since a prior possession's mistake caused a benching for another player. which is their passive aggressive way of saying that the prior benching should never have happened.
they wonder how in the hell we are going to score when we don't have any scorers on the court. they do this when colon and merrieweather are on the court. the other 3 just happen to be the best offensive players to play for KSU (outside walker/beasely) over the last 2 decades: pullen, clemente & kelly.
when frank is yelling at a player they ask frank if it's so easy to do what frank wants why frank doesn't do it himself. they get real bothered when Frank angries up towards a player worrying each time that someone will transfer.
-
Sat in section 12 Saturday near some guy who made it pretty clear he hated Denis. Right before Denis hit the 3 during our run in the 2nd half he was yelling at him to pass the ball. It did quiet him down towards Denis for a while.
-
Franks only got to stand up and turn around if he wants to yell at the more silent fans.
First thing: STFU, Section 13 RULEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11!!!!1!!!!
Second thing: that's why I don't bring my children to games. My wife would just get mad at me for ignoring the children while watching the game (which is what happens at home too) which is totally not worth it.
-
I love Denis more than any modern KSU player including Mike/Bill.
-
Speaking of negative nancys....I sit in front of the most negative powerespect 65 year old hick in the history of the world. So far this season, we have not taken a single good three point shot. We have not boxed out a single time. Luis Colon has never looked like a real basketball player (true) and Denis Clemente is never in control of what he is doing. Oh and Frank should hire an offensive coordinator and he should be the defensive coordinator because he knows nothing about offense. I can't tell you how many times I've wanted to turn around and :chainsaw: :chainsaw: :chainsaw: but haven't. I hate him. I really really hate him. Evenmoreso, my wife hates him which is hilarious!!!!

Sat in section 12 Saturday near some guy who made it pretty clear he hated Denis. Right before Denis hit the 3 during our run in the 2nd half he was yelling at him to pass the ball. It did quiet him down towards Denis for a while.
Next time, tell him to save his breath since Denis doesn't speak English. He'll probably believe you, and everyone will win. Or tell him that "pass the ball" in Spanish is "Oye guapo toma mi hija porfa"

I love the "offensive coordinator" talking point. Whenever anyone in Austin decides to talk about college basketball (pretty much never), it's to say that Rick Barnes needs one.

The old hick in my section likes to wait until the crowd gets quiet after we miss a defensive board, then yells "YOU WANT THE BALL, JAMAR? YOU WANT THE BALL? ACT LIKE YOU WANT THE BALL!"
His voice usually cracks by the time he tells Jamar to "Act like you want the ball".
It is blatantly obvious to him that our team is simply not trying. When will the rest of us catch on?

I think I have the worst possible fans that sit directly behind me.
The lady has a smokers voice. She hates Denis, also wants him to pass the ball right before he hits a 3. Also hates Luis Colon. Likes everyone else for the most part.
She loses her mind anytime anyone misses a free throw.
She did not know who Jeremiah Massey was (after the trivia/scrambled pic of him).

Oh yeah, I forgot the most annoying thing of all about the dude behind me, he wants everyone to yell and make noise while WE shoot free throws. He says that it throws off our guys that it's so quiet. So he goes on yelling by himself like a tard while everyone around him  :bang:  :bang:

This is a pretty amazing level of stupid and annoying.
