Say what you want, the man is a rough ridin' master. He's taken a lot of abuse on this board (hell I criticized his loyalty to Cosh). Yeah, it can be ugly and boring, but the mother rough rider knows how to win. Who woulda thought we'd be 5-0 with wins over 3 pretty good teams? It's a great day to be a wildcat! Eat a dick MU!!!
-
Mods please wait till the tards have blown their collective load and then lump the inevitable 20 more identical posts together. TIA

great thread, scoops

yeah, because had we started 1-4 all the doubters wouldn't be dancing on Bill's grave. gmafb. would be nice to see some of the haters at least admit that, to this point, they were wrong.
-
great thread, scoops
I know it's tough OK, I do. The desire to be right, vindicated in your opinion on OB, juxtaposed with the happines of being 5-0. Let it flow brother...let it flow. You can do it.....You're safe here. you're safe.
-
This thread is pretty stupid. Should be titled: "OB is exposing 90% of this board as the retards they are." Mods?
-
Snyder doubter haters are just as bad as Snyder haters. Just enjoy the game Fuktard. You earned it.
-
yeah, because had we started 1-4 all the doubters wouldn't be dancing on Bill's grave.
Because OBz had died and HCIW Sean had led the Cats to a 1-4 start?
-

The tards on kstatefans are still waiting for your Snyder apology.
-
Lotta Snyder haters having a hard time choking down their sour grapes.

The pro-Snyder crowd is only crowing now because the Snyder-haters have been down right insufferable for going on three years now. And it feels good to have been right all along. :gocho:
-
Deez Nutz just explained my angst perfectly.

i made a thread a week ago admitting that OB isn't terrible. but way to make a thread a week after most of the board has accepted that, fuktard.

yes. the kayne avatar is painful.

seems to me michigancat has an angry mob lurking his every post on this bbs. Interesting.
-
i've bought in on everyone except sean snyder :surprised:
-
He's done an amazing job of updating his offense and really making it work again. I think he spent a lot of time thinking about what he would/should have done differently when he left for a few years.
Also, he's really changed his recruiting strategy. He's gone much heavier on prep players (that qualify) at this point. He's also going heavy with quality grayshirts, too.
I don't like his aversion to marketing. I don't like his loyalty to guys like Cosh. I hate his hiring of Sean.
Other than that, if this keeps up, I hope he goes Paterno. I at least want him to see us through Sams because that could be awesome.
-

Hey sean had a great game. Great field goal defense. Great roughing the punter punt. Props where props are due.
-
I really don't see any changes in his offense. It's the same thing. Cosh is the DC of a pretty darn good defense. Sean has been on the staff for a long time. Guess he could market more. Not sure how much marketing Paterno does. :dunno:
-
Nice win, long season, douche canoes. :comeatme:

The offense isn't the same.
We run the new stretch option (as documented by _fan) and hardly ever line up under center. When we do run the more traditional option, it's almost always a speed option run out of the pistol.
Klein is being asked to pass far less and run much more than any quarterback in KSU history, probably.
-
Legit is Legit.
-
This offense is nothing new. We've seen glimpses of it in the past, a bunch of times. Snyds tends to tailor the offense around the QB's abilities. And we're not running the ball anymore than we did with Bishop or Beasley, they just completed more passes for more yds.

I'd be surprised if Bish or Beas ever ran the ball 70 times in 3 weeks.
Plus I don't remember Snyder ever utilizing the pistol prior to this year.

I should have elaborated on the offense. Snyder isn't doing anything new, really, schematically. There isn't a radical shift.
However, he's not spending time ramming square pegs into round holes like he did before (Meier, Evridge). Almost every single game has a different feel to it on offense. There's much more diversity week to week in how he's attacking defenses. It's really quite impressive.
-
Would Mike Leach or Rich Rod also be 5-0 against this schedule? Probably. But I prefer to enjoy the nice win. Douchebags.
-
Your knowledge of Snyder's offense only goes back to 2004? Explains alot.

I'm not going to go through this with you.
-
We're talking an offense that's predicated on a running QB and your examples were Evridge and Meier. Guess you think Snyder is kinda smart, but only sometimes. He has flashes of brilliance mixed with periods of idiocy. Pretty standard stuff for HOF coaches, right?
-
Douchebags.
Wow. you're a doll of a human being. grow up.

He was very set in his ways near the end. It's not about being an idiot. I think he had just been doing it for so long and had so much success that he was trying to make it work with players that weren't capable.
Now, he's just being more flexible and really pushing the right buttons with the playbook. I doubt the playbook has changed much. However, I think the diversity of what he'll run week to week has vs. right before he retired.
We good?

Huh? But aren't these all quotes from you on September 19th? I need an explanation here. :dunno:
eff you LHC Bill Snyder
LHC Bill Snyder rough ridin' sucks at coaching football in 2011 and is a dickhead. eff him.
I want Snyder to lose every game, too. The sooner he's gone, the better.
Snyder needs to go, and if losing to KU speeds that process along, I will cheer the eff out of him against KU.
We are not improving. Snyder blows. Hard.

You know how you would really like cherry pie a la mode but end up with lemon meureingue (sp) instead? I am choosing to enjoy my lemon meureingue while you have your cherry pie but can't enjoy because you're worried about my goddamn flavor of pie. Loser.

More like you wanted cherry pie and were served lemon mereingue and so you bitched at the waitress, the cook, the management about how shitty the pie tasted because you really wanted the cherry pie. And after throwing a tantrum and eating a few bites you realized the lemon meringue tasted pretty damn good but you didn't want anyone to know so you kept bitching and bitching and crying because goddamnit you wanted cherry pie!

I'll give snyds credit, he's added a wrinkle to the zone read that teams haven't figured out yet.
this offense is much different than the last two years and nothing like when he left the first time.
I've always believed to win at small schools you've got to have offensive innovation and by god he's done it.
And our offense has a lot more to do with the D being decent as AB has.

agree  hope we can get up to 45 TOP next week

Good to know what cire thinks is important about winning at a small school. Just glad our Offense was there during the stand at Miami and the last series vs Baylor or our defense would have probably lost those games. Oh, and holding Mizzou to 17 pts and like 200 yds below their season average, better thank the o-line and wrs for that. :jerk:
-
mods please rename thread "jt and fuktard butthurt express". Thanks

JT consistently puts clown suits on people on goEMAW. Sorry guys, but someone had to say it.

He does, but he balances it out by clownsuiting himself, and acting like a general bad person a majority of the time. Also, weird thread.

You don't think the tempo of the offense has anything to do with the defense not allowing very many yards and points?
-
I'm not for gloating. But Rusty is looking pretty bad in this thread. OKcat doing a much better job overall.
-
If our offense was solely responsible for the number of points/yds allowed, why the dramatic change in defensive number from last year to this? Same offense but a much better offense, Actually, a worse offense. Riddle me that crap.

Defense much improved from last year. But no passing game keeps the clock going when we are on offense so still kind of protects us. Defense is legit but the spread pass heavy big 12 still gives some problems for us
-
i've bought in on everyone except sean snyder
Hey sean had a great game. Great field goal defense. Great roughing the punter punt. Props where props are due.
Granted, it was actually a relatively competent effort this week, although the punt return that started at the 1 and went to the 17 enraged me at the time. But if Sean shows he can keep his unit improving over the course of the season then I'll be a little more sold on him.
-
someone questions snyder, snyder does well, the tucks come out in full force saying i told you so, demanding validation at every turn. Welcome to the new Gopowercat. :flush:

Wow. You have some serious butthurt.
I have no problem acknowledging that the season has gone better than I expected. That doesn't mean that I think bringing back Snyder was the right choice or that I was "wrong". And it sure as crap doesn't mean some random internet clown is going to get some sort of apology or whatever the eff it is you think you deserve.

Snyder has beaten a mediocre miami team with a brand new coach with an amazing individual tackle.
Snyder has beaten BAYLOR at home by 1.
Snyder beat a mediocre mizzou team with a new qb at home.

You've hit the nail on the head Kim. I think everyone on this board felt like we would/should be 5-0 at this point. I mean we haven't played anyone worth a crap and we've got talent in spades. Snyder's done nothing more than everyone on here expected. Wish the media would get off his nuts.

Snyder is making everyone except for a very select few look stupid.
Consensus was probably that we'd have lost 3 games by now.
We're a win away from being bowl eligible.

I think it is somewhere between what kim said and what you said. You nailing scores has been more impressive than any of Snyder's wins on an objective basis. It is just our expectations were so low that Snyder is crushing them. I will fully admit that I had no idea the defense would be this good and I certainly did not think the offense would be capable of producing.
I still have some concerns about the lack of big plays on offense, but my God. This is very enjoyable. It just is. I won't be butthurt about the fun, but as Rusty has said, it is hilarious that others are more butthurt about Snyder's success than we are.
-
I remember when KU was 5-0 and top 15 in the country back in '09. Then we lost seven straight games and fired Mangino. Just sayin.'

Mangino is a good coach, and I appreciate what he did for KU football, but there's no way he could have recruited after all of the allegations that surfaced.

Would you rather play for a coach with mangino's allegations? Or one that won't let you have a cell phone, hang out with your gf past 10pm, preach the bible non-stop, and be on a crappier team?

correct me if I'm wrong but till that first lost you had played only dog crap teams and no rivals right?

I have a feeling that give up 700+ yds in one game and 70 pts in another is going to hurt recruiting.

KU went 3-9 last year and finished with a top 35 recruiting class. Gill and co. are doing a great job of selling immediate playing time.

i don't know about that. i mean, if ku would've won ten games that year i don't think he is fired and i don't think everything that came out comes out. i think the losses coupled with the other stuff gave perkins room to operate and get him out. those two never like each other and perkins made sure to smear him pretty good with some of the stuff that was released towards the end. to bad, because he was really good.

I have a feeling that give up 700+ yds in one game and 70 pts in another is going to hurt recruiting.
KU went 3-9 last year and finished with a top 35 recruiting class. Gill and co. are doing a great job of selling immediate playing time.
Too bad that Gill and co. are not doing a good job of selling winning. Although I guess they would be close to business failure, so it probably was a more financially sound decision for them to sell losing.

I remember when KU was 5-0 and top 15 in the country back in '09. Then we lost seven straight games and fired Mangino. Just sayin.'
correct me if I'm wrong but till that first lost you had played only dog crap teams and no rivals right?
Southern Miss was pretty good. Who have you guys played besides Baylor? 2-3 Miami and 2-3 Mizzou?

Ummm... yeah, that's my point. His reputation took a hit after all of the allegations that surfaced.

Well, other than Texas Tech (who KU was beating 20-0 in the 1st quarter), who did you expect KU to beat? #12 Georgia Tech (in Atlanta) and/or #6 Oklahoma State (in Stillwater)?

I still have some concerns about the lack of big plays on offense, but my God. This is very enjoyable. It just is. I won't be butthurt about the fun, but as Rusty has said, it is hilarious that others are more butthurt about Snyder's success than we are.
I'm sorry, but "told you so" is a part of every spectrum of life.

my point is that if the team won a few more games that year, then the allegations either don't come out or they are quickly pushed under the rug. the issue for mangino was that his athletic director was not wanting to do either of those things and actually did quite the opposite and the fact that the fball team was losing game after game gave him the opportunity to do so.
it was a strange fire and the university was helping to fuel it. it was just weird given how good he made them. it was a battle of two guys that are assholes and the bad person boss finally had what he needed to fire the bad person employee. the problem was that ku fball fans suffered because mangino was about as good as they were going to get.

I don't know if I agree with this, I mean, Turner is a really fine recruiter and that is going to pay dividends.

someone questions snyder
lmao...this is rich. I've seen this exact thing on Peoples Court. "Yes your honor, of course I was furious, the plaintiff had just thrown a cup of urine in my face. So I calmly went up to him and questioned him "excuse me sir, why did you throw a cup of urine on me".
WRONG!!!
Tuck your napkin into your shirt, grab your fork and knife, and eat your crow like a big boy.

KU won a bowl game more recently than k-state and ku's recruiting class was top 37. Some of the teams k-state played have bad records right now and one used to be really bad at football.
KU's recruiting is awful. The only good recruits they have, aren't that good, and all play the same position.
Watch them play. They are slow, small, and weak. Their front seven is an embarrassment to CFB. The QB is terrible and they've managed to inflate their offensive stats by rolling up yards on some horrible defenses and against 3rd stringers in the OSU game.
