TITLETOWN - A Decade Long Celebration Of The Greatest Achievement In College Athletics History => Kansas State Football => Topic started by: Shacks on October 07, 2011, 01:05:55 AM

I am in need of other students to attend Saturday's game with as the guys I normally go with can't make it for a variety of reasons (queers :jerk:). Must be GA because that's what I have. I can offer a case of beer and a beer pong table to bring to the tailgate. I'm also really knowledgeable about football (played in high school and at a small school I went to before transferring to K-State) so you don't have to worry about me asking you dumbass questions during the game or doing stupid stuff like screaming when we are on offense. I don't leave early and I'm loud (couldn't talk properly until Tuesday after the Baylor game). I don't want to have to go by myself but goddammit I will if I have to, I'll be damned if I'm missing the Cats play :kstatriot:
For any smart asses who feel like calling me a loner, this is my first semester at K-State and most of my classes are 500 level so they're small and people don't talk much. I'm also not from Kansas, another reason I don't know a lot of people in Manhattan. So please students, help out a fellow Wildcat and in return you get beer and use of a beer pong table :drink:
-
I'd help you out, but I was hoarse until the thursday after the BU game, and refuse to sit by anyone who wasnt.

Elitist :shakesfist:

You can join in on our tailgate, but we're alum and can't swing student tickets anymore
FWIW though, my first year after I graduated I was working in Manhattan and most of my friends had either graduated and left or didn't go to the games, so I would pick up student tickets from facebook or friend's friend's or whatever, and would pretty much always go by myself to games. Yea it's a little bit lone-wolf'ish, but cool for a couple reasons.
1. You can always get a good seat. It doesn't matter if you go in 5 minutes before kickoff/tip. If you're by yourself you can always get in the first 15 rows and don't have to worry about squeezing in you and your friends somewhere.
2. Meeting the people around you. As aforementioned, you'll get a good seat, and generally the people that are closest tend to be most knowledgeable/better fans (yea a bit elitist, but they care about KSU). I wasn't really big on the hug/sway thing during the alma matter, but wabash and other things get you all involved.
I thought I could come up with more reasons, but I guess just 2 is all I have. Go 4 Icat next season btw
-
I threw up and then went into the Nebraska game by myself last year. True story.

Might have to one man wolfpack it tomorrow. I have GA because my friends I usually go with are all GA.

No, off-campus. Just down the street from Aggieville.

Go to FatDamon's Funk Bus. Usually parks in the grassy knoll Northeast of the stadium (across Kimball). Big Silver Bus. As SkinnyBenny (FatDamon's brother) for directions.

Appreciate it but I believe they would be better used by someone who has no other way to attend the game. Worst case scenario I'm still at the game, just by myself.
