said after the highlights on SC that you can see the KSU-KU game on ESPN :dunno:

Just heard that too. Probably just meant an ESPN "network".
-
Not possible. ESPN has CT v. ND on at 6 and Duke v. MD at 8. It would throw off two sched. games even if they did alter their schedule (which they don't)
-
The wednesday night schedule on ESPN and 2 has games at 6 and 8 (central), our game is at 7...so unless they're moving our game back an hour, I don't see it happening. Also, we'd be bumping Duke/Maryland or OSU/aTm.

This. Dude probably just missed the "+" when reading his notes.

thought it was wierd. he must have meant 360 like TPT said.
anyway could get it in HD if you get directv. it's listed as being on 640 MASNHD. HD :crossfingers:
-
sorry, I basically said the same thing as SD.
-
Why wasn't it on ESPN or ESPN2 in the 1st place? :dunno:
ESPN really f'd up on this one
-

no, I said it much better

It's hard to interest viewers in games played in flyover country, apparently.

Yeah they proved that in the first matchup.

Kind of annoying that I have to explain myself twice. I know that the game is in Lawrence and that Lawrence flyover country. TheKSU doesn't seem to realize that Manhattan is NOT flyover country because he/she posted "Yeah they proved that in the first matchup" (the game was...like...watched by a LOT of people). *sigh*

^ If it makes you feel any better, I understood you.

I feel much better, actually. Thank you. I think TheKSU's struggles with the quote function may have made this worse.
-
espn chooses to avoid Lawrence whenever they can. Don't know exactly why though.

Because lawrence sucks completely.

Stuart Scott hasn't gone back since the locals popped out one of his eyes for looking at a white woman on Mass St.

Someone on GPC said that 810 is reporting ESPN will carry it :dunno:
-
Bukaty said "Espn has picked it up" but didn't explain further.

Oh. Will prolly pre-empt whatever is on ESPNU or something.
-
the CBB weekly watch on ESPN.com still just says ESPN360 for our game.

Dammit, I wanted to see that Tic Tock Tech vs Whatsamatta U game :frown:
-
Can we get a confirmation on this already! Let's go guys, I know its Monday, but doesn't mean you sleepwalk through the first half of the day!
-

Heard it on 810 this morning myself that ESPN picked it up. I see online that it is going to be shown on ESPN 360, is that what they mean by "picked up?"

No cause it would have been on ESPN 360 anyway. It is a Fullcourt game right now, which includes 360.

ESPN 360. Pretty much ESPN is going to be ambiguous in pimping this match up since ESPN 360 is technically "on ESPN."
-
they could move the game to ESPN Classic (boxing from the 80's is currently on the schedule) but that would be a first for CBB, IIRC.
ESPN has put live CFB on ESPN Classic.

I would assume if a formal announcement of it being on an actual ESPN channel hasn't been released by now, it never will.
One of the best games of the week (year?) will be on the Big 12 Network. It's time to accept that imo. Would love for that to change though.

Freakin Big 12

Hoops tv is different than fball tv, they don't "pick up" games if they choose. It's set in stone.

we should feel very elite, the state of kansas (best bball state this year, no thanks to wushuck) is basically telling the east coast to suck it
[/spin]

will 360 have the big 12 tournament? any other conf. tourneys?
-

The Big XII wouldn't dare be progressive with their TV deals............

I choose to look at it this way: If the Big XII pressured ESPN and told them we wanted some flex games on our schedule for national broadcasts, they could make it hapen. I realize its more an ESPN thing than a Big XII thing, but if the office made it a priority, we could get it done.
-
no.

The problem is the Big 12's tv package. Just look at what ku games have been on national television. CU, ISU, NU, BU, and OSU to name a few...yet they choose to put KSU vs ku on where no one can really see it. Kudos to the Big 12 in keeping with their sorry ass management in every facet of a conference.
-
It really is surprising ESPN did not pick this game up.
They decided this summer that KU @ KSU = Gameday (one only 8 all year) but KSU @ KU = pass :dunno:
-
Amazing that they can't get this game on ESPN. They know it would probably be their highest rated game of the season.
-
Jesus. rough ridin'. Christ.
The game isn't moving.
mods, lock this crap. :curse:

Late Feb and early March is about bubble teams. Nobody cares about the elite teams now. We'll have the spotlight back on us in late March/early April. Be patient.
-
-
Why does anyone want to defend the Big 12 Network? eff them and eff ESPN.
-
Does anyone know a good urologist in Junction City who will be showing the game? TIA!
-
Per dscott, this is the 10th game between Top 10 teams this year, and the best match-up (next best was 6 vs 2).
And the only one not on national TV.
-
dscott is a homo.
