Or kick it out of bounds twice.

I suppose it helps our defensive ypg given up stat if our opponent starts every possession at midfield  :dunno:

More concerning - why was he able to kick it out once, but never again?  I mean, obviously he has the ability, no?  I saw it with my own eyes.

He's obviously being told to kick it higher and toward the sideline to reduce long returns. Why Sean thinks that's more effective than a touchback I have no idea.

ski right, as the team calls it, has been around since the beginning of time.  The object is when you know you can't get the touch back you place the ball around the 20-25 where the upman has to field it.  upmen are usually FB, LB, and other guys with no hands.  The point is 1. upman may fumble because they have no hands 2. they won't run it very far 3. you limit where they can return it and area to work with.  Point 1 happened on on our kick to them after our first TD, led to a FG.

I listened to the postgame with Cantele and I'm pretty sure he said Bill is the one pushing that strategy.  I highly doubt Bill would ever let his loser son make that kind of call.  Also pretty sure Seans most important job each week is to coordinate which little kid gets to grab the kicking tee after kickoffs.

I would imagine Bill makes every big decision during games.
