but he is going to frustrate the crap out of us during some games, especially when we are behind and have to throw to win. I wish the play calling would give him more opportunities to complete passes/build confidence in his arm. Can't be argued, dude is a warrior.

Give him more opportunities to complete passes? All we were running were 5 yard patterns for Harper the first half, and he was completing those. At some point you have to stretch the field vertically, which is the issue. He did a good job of checking off against the blitz, and does ok when he has a pocket, but tends to hold the ball too long (most young QBs do). He does not seem to be able to throw on the move, however. There were a couple designed rollouts to the right where he was horribly inaccurate.

I was thinking throw in a few screen passes once in a while. More emphasis on the te dump. His biggest problem is he won't throw the ball until his guy is wide open...would love to see himget more confidence to throw the ball before his guy breaks.

Klein is willing to hold onto the ball, which sometimes is a bad thing. He also seems overly willing to stay in the pocket. In part Baylor was too easily able to collapse the pocket with a 4 man rush too, some of that is on the o-line.

He hurt his thumb last weekend in Miami. He hardly through the ball in practice this week. He'll be more accurate the rest of the year.

One day, Brod is going to catch that deep ball inbounds.
