According to Gallup, 43% rate Obama a better president than Bush, while 34% rate him as a worse president; another 22% say the two president are "about the same."
That's 56% rate Pres Obama "about the same or worse" than Bush. I really enjoyed the headline.

65% say he's better or about the same.

65% say he's better or about the same.
But when your entire campaign was centered on being the polar opposite of Bush, being the same is not a good thing.

I guess the "same" people count as 2 votes. Those numbers are meant to be spun, the exist for no other reason than that.

as my main man steven st john always says, there are lies, damn lies, and statistics.

Most politicians base policy decisions on results of polls.

Yes, the article was definitely a spin in favor of Obama. The problem with it is Obama prides himself on being COMPLETELY different than Bush, and still blames all of his problems on Bush. To mix the results of "the same as Bush" with "better than Bush" and call it a good result is very funny.

34% of the country would still hate Obama even if he extended the Bush era tax cuts, assassinated bin Laden, cut current and future government spending, reformed health care, and created a cure for cancer.

Conservatives disagree with policy, they don't hate.

I take it you're a hater.
Disappointing.

Yeah, all of that stuff about Obama being a socialist, non-American born Muslim was all out of pure love, john...
-
being "about the same" as Bush is definitely not good for Obama
The real question is: Do liberals lie to others more than themselves, or do they lie to themselves more than others?
The overwhelming majority of liberals are sociopaths, as evidenced by the rantings and ravings of ednksu, bmw, 06, et al.

This is where we differ the most, I think. None of that stuff has anything to do with whether or not you like him, it has to do with policy. He is very much a socialist as indicated by what he says and tries to do. Thankfully, people began to wake up and put a roadblock in his way. The only reason people were wondering if he was born in the US is because some of his relatives in Kenya intimated that they were present when he was born in Kenya and he had sealed all of his historical documents. No biggie, just wondering.

john "teach me how to" dougie is right. There is no way that hate enters the equation in making a picture like the one above. That picture was created purely out of dislike over policy.

Hmmm, well there are those out on the fringes in both parties that normal Americans don't agree with. That picture, coming from an atheist website, may have been made by a liberal atheist that has no moral compass simply to make conservatives look bad. Obama is a divide, demonize, and conquer type of leader, but he seems like a personable guy that is just misguided.

He linked a picture from an atheist website portraying Obama as the devil ?!?!?!?

I'm an atheist and I approve of that picture.

This thread is "about the same" as everything I've read in this board since Obama got elected.
