after yesterday's drubbing, it's almost embarrassing. we can not expect to compete in the b12 confy giving up 270 through the air and 130 ground.
overall, garrett can't be expected to carry this team. don't think anyone else is capable of stepping up.
snyder needs to hit the recruiting circuit hard this off season and bring us in some talent. (speed)

No pass rush

From the other site ("the other site")
coaches ALWAYS say you can have a pretty good defense IF...
you're particularly strong up the middle.
I am floored by the improvement Kibble has made. He was not going against cupcakes out there yesterday. Miami's middle interior had a returning starter at center, a 5th year senior in Harland Gunn, and the most talented OLineman for the Canes, other than Henderson, is that other guard.
That is a team that runs the ball VERY well on people. They did so last year and will do so this year if their running game on Ohio State was any indication.
People will have a tough time running on us this year. That is about as formidable of a group we'll face this side of Oklahoma State and we passed the test right up the middle.
Ray Kibble really put in the work this off-season and he's bought in to everything the coaches' have taught him. He is a really good BCS conference nose tackle.

Malone looked great and in position certain plays, and completely blew others. If he could work out the consistency issues he could be solid

Malone played the same way the entire game. Miami out adjusted Cosh (just like every other game) and took advantage of Malone's coverage. They ran routes where Malone would normally have help, but of course we insist on trotting out Hartman and his 76-year old lady knee, so Malone didn't have any help. This is why I'm still on the Fire Cosh bandwagon. Cosh's inability to adjust will cost us a game this year. If they put in Pearson over Hartman I'll jump off the Fire Cosh bandwagon.
