Slower than Miami D-backs.
Bryce is worse at blocking than I thought.

everyone on offense looks slow to me. Our QB, our RB's, our WR's.  Our team speed in general is slow (relative to super neat awesome teams).  Watching that OU/MU game was like watching the Miami/KSU game in fast forward.

FYI most running backs are slower than d-backs.

I like Hubert fine, just remember Bill saying he was the fasted back at some point in the pre-season and thinking that he was going to be fast and junk.

Running backs get caught from behind by d backs all the time.  People need to quit bitching about Hubert's speed.  Vision, acceleration, and lateral quickness are a lot more important.

I don't think anyone's bitching, just noticing.  people need to quit bitching about people commenting on things.

glad i wasn't the only one who thought this. Maybe it's our slow developing plays, but i feel like we wouldn't get 1 first down against a team like LSU.

Yes.

Maybe it's our slow developing plays,

Yes.

The zone read tends to do that.

it has nothing to do with the zone read.  MU runs a zone read too.  Klein will naturally look "slow" because he's like 7 foot tall and has long strides, but our RB and WR's seem slow.  so does our defense, sans AB.  que Hatter with 40 times, but our overall team speed (maybe playing speed is a better term?) is slow.

I said the zone read is why the plays are developing slowly.  I didn't say anything about the speed of our team.

Seemed to me that Hubert was really fast for the first 15 yds or so, but lost gas quickly.  Seems to be a burst guy, but not a home run guy.  Seemed to slow down pretty quickly after he initially got past the pack.

Our non-zone-read running plays develop slowly too.

166 yards.  9.2 per carry.  Meh.  Wish Bryce was playing.

Our non-zone-read running plays develop slowly too.

Power running game and play action will do this.
