Title: Things to make me less tired
Post by: hemmy on September 23, 2011, 01:56:09 PM
So over the last 2.5 months I have been drinking exclusively water (except alcohol on the weekends), but sheesh I sure am tired right now.  What can I do to be less tired while drinking only water?

tia.

Desk job?

I set up a wireless headset and stand up/walk around pretty much all the time when on the phone.  Helps me.

You can pack coffee grounds into your lower lip like a dip and get your buzz that way.

full time bbs'r/software engineer, so no phone calls to be made.  The going to bed earlier idea is kind of risky.

If you've been strictly water for 2.5 months, you should be past any caffiene jones and have tons of energy.  Also, it's not how much sleep you get but how rested you are during that sleep.  Tons of relaxation techniques online.

How many hours of sleep do you get in one night? How often do you exercise at least enough to break a sweat?

6.5 per night, 5-6 days a week exercise on average. I do also do consulting work outside of my fulltime job.

If you start eating better your fatigue issues will go away.  Add plenty of Fresh fruits and vegetables if nothing else and you will see improvement.

Favorite kind? I like Japanese sencha. I have one cup a day.

I still maintain that anyone who doesn't like coffee isn't doing it right.

The green tea that  I like is the same stuff the Mannings rep.  Don't remember the name.  I also really like earl grey and a bunch of other dark teas.  Tea is fantastic in general.

20 minute powernap halfway through your day.  If you sleep a little less you can throw in two 20 min naps and be fine.
