Little hard to believe that they are going to update every single sport.
Still kind of cool though. :users: (only on my phone)

not too bad, really. I was just thinking I needed something like this over the weekend.

I thought about emailing Currie about somethink like this a year or two back, but decided that it would end up KSTATEO beyond words so I didn't. Also, I'm too lazy to send an email.

MANHATTAN, KS -- Kansas State University today announced the release of a mobile app allowing fans to follow all K-State athletic teams on their phones and mobile devices, featuring team rosters and information, schedules, and live radio play-by-play. However, it was not immediately apparent on which platforms the new app would find a home, as it could not be found within the iOS (Apple) or Android markets.
"We are working diligently with the premier mobile platforms to find a good fit for Kansas State University's mobile app," said K-State athletics director John Currie. "While this app may not bring all the bells and whistles that other apps offer, we feel it serves the needs of our community and fans well and will ultimately be available to all of them."
Sources with Apple and Android indicated that the app's availability in those markets might be in question due to the perceived limited audience for the app. According to one source in Apple, "this app isn't even on our radar." An Android representative stated that they are currently focused on obtaining the latest, HD-version of Angry Birds, widely recognized as one of the most prized apps in terms of distribution and revenue generation. "Is this Kansas University [sic] thing even in HD?" the source asked dubiously.
An anonymous source within the K-State athletic department indicated that the department is exploring release on the WebOS platform. Originally developed by Palm and now owned by HP, the WebOS platform is widely believed to be dead following the firesale of HP's Touchpad and Pre devices. "But that's a couple of million devices right there!" said the source. "What else are they going to put on those devices? Besides, we hear that HP may open development back up!"
An HP spokesperson confirmed that there are no future plans for WebOS.

I'm more than a little surprised that Steve Ballmer hasn't addressed the issue in a joint press conference with Obama held from the front lawn of the white house.
also, why wouldn't you just use the espn sportcenter app? :fuckingdumbshits:
