it was terrible when they blocked the punt and then we got a penalty as well

i guess i blindly expected domination.

some of my preseason threads aren't just joking all the time. there are times i really think we are going to be good, and my fall will be filled w/smiles and fist pumps.

It's okay F3.  Think this is probably just an "Ohio 97" type of thing.

That one thread where I said DON'T DO THIS TO YOURSELVES GUYS. The clutch on Bill's time machine slips between 1993 and 1994.

What's really stupid is that had we lost, I would have been all like "the sky is falling, we're so horrible, we deserve the MWC, I'm not going on any message boards, or reading any articles for like a month."
Now that we won, I'm all like "I think we'll be okay. They played vanilla and weren't prepared. They got out coached and out played. Snyder's teams always improve over the course of the season, I still believe, I STILL BELIEVE!"  This is probably good, so when we get bitch slapped in 3 weeks vs Miami, I will be all ready and prepared for it.  I've already gone into defense mechanism mode, push the ones you love away, before they have a chance to reject and hurt you.

Relax, just use all the fun conference expansion talk to distract you from the crappy game.  :bang: :bang:

When both us and ISU looked like it was certain we would both lose to FCS teams, I texted my ISU buddy "it was all so exciting on Friday"...and it truly was.   After a cold dose of reality, Sunday kinda sucked.  So does today.

I'm starting to accept the fact that every day from now on is going to suck as a K-State fan. Get booted down to the MWC...lose Martin...Snyder finally dies on the field...Great times ahead

oh really? didn't realize you could see into the future. What's the winning lotto numbers? Relax. It's one game.

If I remember correctly, I'm pretty sure Princes first game was against Illinois State, and that was a very close one as well and that season we went 7-6.

If you think comparing this team to a Ron Prince team is going to make me feel better, you're wrong

Don't worry, I think the Simon injury is going to help us out in the long run.

We had 5 turnovers.  We killed them in every stat other than turnovers.  This could very easily have been a 35-0 win and we would still have the same team.  We have work to do, but this is better than Marshall in '03.

How is that game in any way comparable to this game?

We lost to an inferior OOC opponent in '03 and won against an inferior OOC opponent in '11.

no.

I like the optimism...but man, we scored on only 1 drive when we really had to..Other than that.. a missed field goal were the only points we left on the field. The turnovers hurt bad, particularly BBrown's fumble.

Nigel Malone countered Bryce's suk.

35-0 is a reach, but offense could not have been worse and we still almost doubled them on all stats.

I have faith that the offense isn't actually that terrible.  I didn't have much faith in the defense and I was proved wrong.  That is a positive sign.

I was actually just hoping the defense would look good.  I was hoping they would shut down the run and not give up big passing plays.

I assumed CK and crew would score 4 to 8 TD's no problem.  5 TO's and an offensive clusterfuck is totally disconcerting

We better trounce Kent in two weeks  :shakesfist:

I remember the Umass game a couple of years ago was like this and we still managed to go 6-6  :dunno: My advice is to stay positive.  :ksu:
