Title: KStateHD
Post by: Fuktard on September 03, 2011, 10:55:17 AM
Yes I know there's a 16 page thread on this but I don't give a crap, I'm trying to make this easy.  I haven't bought a subscription yet, but just the intro video is all starty stoppy, if the game is like that, I'm gonna go apeshit.  I have timewarner roadrunner wireless (54mbps)...anybody know what to expect?  tia

I have 12mbps on a good day and I have no problem watching. Granted I watch through my wired htpc, not over wifi.

As was pointed out in the other thread, any issues will be on their end with bandwidth. Hopefully they have worked out the problems from the live vb game the other night. Watching the on demand replay looked good on my screen.  Not quite crisp, but was pretty much hd and no problems with stutter or buffering.

The quality of streaming video is about on par with Playstation 1 video games...

I just subscribed and Im watching the Volleyball game from yesterday to test the connection and it is starty stoppy too. WTF! The Classic game plays fine but that isn't in HD. The HD volleyball game sucks. Its watchable but it will really piss me off if the game is like this.

you will be fine. i read on the press release there is 3 levels of quality to the stream and you will get the one that best works with your connection. note you usually get the low quality one when you first connect but then it improves if your connection can handle it

Well I've subscribed, bought a puter to tv hdmi cable and will report back tonight.
i think you will be disappointed with the results watching it on a big tv. i watched a live volleyball game on my 27" imac yesterday on full screen and it wasnt as good as i had hoped.

WTF! The Classic game plays fine but that isn't in HD. The HD volleyball game sucks. Its watchable but it will really piss me off if the game is like this.

that game from 2000 wasnt originally in HD so there is nothing they can do about that

Just got it. why doesn't the video bar and facebook/twitter/email links not go away in full screen mode? I moved my mouse around and left it still but it didn't go away.   :curse:

other than that, its pretty good quality, except some KSTATEO audio glitches

Quick question. Will the Game be linked with the radio audio? I'd rather have radio audio then no audio. If not will they have their own announcers?

i just checked that out because i didnt remember that in the volleyball game yesterday. when i click full screen they go away but if i then move the mouse while in full screen they pop up and dont seem to go away but if i take it off full screen then put it back they are gone until i move the mouse. its prob best to email them im sure its an easy fix they could deal with next week

Quick question. Will the Game be linked with the radio audio? I'd rather have radio audio then no audio. If not will they have their own announcers?

not sure. they did make a deal about hiring ex kstaters to cover the games but it might be for pregame and halftime stuff

I bought a month at 9.95 to test it out...will come in very handy during bball if the games not on tv or if I'm way out of town.

Key here for everyone who bought it, you MUST cancel before the end of the 30 days or it will automatically renew.

I attached to my tv and it's not a very good picture...probably going to watch it on the puter.

Working very well in SD for me. I only have a 1.5Mbit down wireless broadband connection so HD is too choppy, but it seems like if I had a bit more pipe it would work fine. IMO some people need to make sure they aren't using up bandwidth from other devices, or programs. using Chrome btw.

COLUMBIA, Mo. -- The Texas Longhorn Network that pushed rival Texas A&M out the door of the Big 12 conference has quickly become a model for other conference schools.

Missouri is the latest Big 12 member to join the digital realm, alongside Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas State. The Mizzou Network will be an Internet-based channel with live broadcasts of the school's Olympic sports along with behind-the-scenes glimpses into previously off-limits activities such as football practices or basketball locker rooms.

The channel will roll out on Dec. 1. It will include some paid, premium content but mostly be available at no charge.

The network will carry applications for smart phones, tablet computers and Internet-capable TV.

Still does it.  I think it might be just on a replay because one of the things that won't go away is the pause button and a deal that tells you how far along out of exactly 2 hours and 10 minutes you are, and that wouldn't be there for a live event.

How the eff were you watching this on your computer when you were at MOAP2?
Title: Re: KStateHD
Post by: username on September 05, 2011, 09:03:46 PM
getting the controls off the screen is just kind of hit and miss. one thing that seemed to work the best when i had the lappy hooked up to the tv was to use 'extend' feature instead of 'mirror' or whatever and then move my pointer to the computer display and off of the tv and then they'd go away. with it full screen on one display sometimes i could get it to go away and sometimes it was impossible (don't tell me 'no it's not you're just stupid and you have to do this or that blah blah blah' because i am very knowledgeable about these sorts of things, umkay?).

hey potty mouth, pretty sure everyone here knows how to move a mouse pointer away from an internet video to get the controls to go away. what you're not understanding is that it doesn't work for everyone all the time.
