"You are looking live at sold out LHC Bill Snyder Family Stadium, where today, two unbeatens face off for the Big 12 Conference's top spot.  It's homecoming here in 'The Little Apple' and this Kansas State team, led by the Three Headed Monster of Brown, Hubert and Pease, is trying to remain undefeated and get its first victory over the Sooners since 2003.  OU, ranked number 1, is widely considered to be the nation's best team and Bob Stoops will try to, once again, show LHC Bill Snyder that the one time protege is now the master.  It's Kansas State.  It's OU.  It's Homecoming.  It's now."

RSR:  Coach your team has a huge task today against Oklahoma, what did you tell them before taking the field?
OBz:  We told our youngsters to stay focused and play hard
RSR:  Oklahoma's team speed is off the charts, how do you prevent big plays by the Sooners?
OBz:  We told our youngsters to stay focused and play hard
RSR:  Alright coach, good luck out there.

These last couple weeks might be the best ever... I've already played out the dream season in my head, seen everyone doubting us and imagine what it would be like to explode onto the scene and steal the spotlight, be the national darlings.  Snyder rises from the ashes!!!  It's so beautiful I can taste it!  I love it!!!

Say what?  9-11 wins.  It seems as though a few are drastically raising expectations beyond realistic thresholds.  I hope this isn't an attempt to add credence to their "fire bill" websites and banners if we only win 7 or 8 games.  I can't imagine how anybody would think 9 wins minimum is realistic with the defense we fielded last season.  Is it possible, sure, but there is so much that has to come together for that to occur, imho.

What Big 12 Coaches Are Saying About: Kansas State
“Thank God Daniel Thomas isn’t back. He was so physical. They will have a huge hole trying to replace him. Last year the offense revolved around him. As he went, they went. Now they have to replace him. Bryce Brown, who transferred from Tennessee, could be a nice addition, if he lives up to the hype."

"They have to replace quarterback Carson Coffman. You know certain things to expect with a LHC Bill Snyder-coached team: They will be good on special teams, be physical and incorporate some sort of option."

"They keep you honest on defense. They are as well-coached and physical as anyone in the league. If they only had a lot more talent like they did before Snyder stepped down the first time, they could be really strong. But you can tell he’s building it back. Snyder lost a lot of impact players. On most teams you would expect a big drop-off, but with Snyder he’ll scrape together another winning season and bowl berth like he always does."

"They need to find some playmakers on offense. With Thomas gone, there will be more pressure on the quarterback and the wide receivers."

"Their talent level isn’t great, but they find a way to win some games. Not sure how they do it, but they get it done."

"Coffman was solid at quarterback. Didn’t get a lot of attention, but he was good. Didn’t make the big mistake.”

"You are looking live at sold out LHC LHC Bill Snyder Family Stadium, where today, two unbeatens face off for the Big 12 Conference's top spot.  It's homecoming here in 'The Little Apple' and this Kansas State team, ranked 15th in the nation and led by the Three Headed Monster of Brown, Hubert and Pease, is trying to remain undefeated and get its first victory over the Sooners since 2003.  OU, ranked number 1, is widely considered to be the nation's best team and Bob Stoops will try to, once again, show LHC LHC Bill Snyder that the one time protege is now the master.  It's Kansas State.  It's OU.  It's Homecoming.  It's now."

On the fence.

Positive progress, fwiw.  Was firmly on the other side of the fence in the yard of the mean old guy that hates kids and always keeps any balls or Frisbees that fly over said fence.

I want to clarify my earlier post.  The mean old man was not Bill.

Reading between the lines from the quotes from all of our coaches heading into the season...

they seem to be confident about QB, RB, WR, LB, and secondary.

they seem unsure about both the DL and OL.  Snyder has always found a way to move the ball whether he had a really good OL or not.  He's a master at squeezing a gallon of lemonade out of one lemon, offensively.  But defensive line is another matter.  It's not that they don't display any confidence about the DL it's that their words are very measured when discussing it.

I hope you're right. Because this would be amazing. Despite how down I have been on Snyder and his merry band of dipshits, I will not hesitate to unleash some serious crap-talking across the interwebs if we have a 93-esque season. I will be the guy flamboyantly flashing new money, just like I would have done in 93.

Can't help but be a little confident. If CK is anywhere near as good in-game as every1 is saying, and our o-line is even halfway decent, it'll be a good year. No way the defense can be as bad as it was last year. Just not possible. I'd like to call 8-4, but I'll go safe w/ 7-5, but w/ a bowl win to get to 8 wins.

Confidence level: 77%.

I'm about 65% confident we will get to 7-5 and about 50% confident in 8-4. It drops all the way to about 12.33% confidence for 9-3.

Oh God please don't let it be CK or BB. Those two are crucial to any success we might have this year imho. The rest are important too but we can probably rebound from their loss.
