Granted, it is Brooks. Reminiscent of the Shorty firing.

That final conflict was a mediation of sorts after Beard had previously decided to leave the program because of Gillispie’s poor treatment of Tech employees, a former player and concern over Gillispie’s fast-and-loose recruiting tactics.
Pair that up with the old AD from Miami, and you have to think that Tech is about to be amazing really soon.

And yet they fired Mike Leach.

setting up hookers, payments, and abortions for recruits is evidently dealt with on a diff level than locking kids in closets. Both scenarios, the kids deserved it. But yeah, can't say that Hocutt is being very consistent here.

Hocutt wasn't the AD when the Leach stuff went down

Then the timing of how all the people involved have come together to do this is great news for Tech BB, Billy G, and the Tech fanbase in general, imo.

Anybody who thinks they can get a 65% annual return from an investment advisor deserves to lose their money.
That said, BG can treat everyone like total crap as long as he wins, which i expect him to do.

Sounds like BG and TTU are (actually) building a monster. Good for them. It's only cheating when you get caught. And then, you move to another program and do it all again.

It's one thing to cheat and do it while the public thinks you're just a good guy, and dog gone hard working coach, who sometimes looses his temper with the refs and demands a lot from his players . . . and who, by and large treats internal athletic department personnel with respect (you know, winning them over).
It's a whole other thing to cheat when many in the public think you're a cheat, and when you have a reputation (probably a well earned one at that) for treating internal athletic department personnel like crap. That is a recipe for a complete meltdown.
