I'm calling the next Russell, he will be a bust.

He probably won't be great.  Most run-first QB's don't pan out in the NFL because their athleticism difference isn't as high in the NFL.  He hasn't shown he can make throws and reads from the pocket.

I don't think players taken in the supplemental draft can be busts. Especially when they used next year's 3rd round pick on him

If he doesn't take a single NFL snap he will still not be as big of a bust as Russellol.

But yeah, I agree, he probably won't contribute too much.

I think he's a good enough athlete to spend a 3rd rounder on.  Just not a guy I'd count on to be my next franchise QB.

Goddell is giving him a 5 game suspension  :ck:

really stupid. you know why? because he hasn't broken a NFL rule, or a law so there is no reason his college punishments should be transferred to the NFL. bullshit. hate goddell

So if a guy at a small financial firm being investigated by the SEC for corruption/embezzling/ponzy scheme/etc. quits his job and then gets a better job with a bigger firm, should he not still be in deep crap for what he did at his previous job?

way different. if he get a better job in a different conference, yes. if he got a job in the NFL, no.

plus, ponzy broke the law. Pryor did nothing against the law.

Could this comparison be more irrelevant to this situation?  Also, in your situation, if he gets a job at the bigger firm, I don't think that bigger firm will punish him for what he did at the older job.  It will be the older job (probably fired, and the law).  I doubt the bigger firm will hire this person who is about to go to prison and then punish him by giving him 5 weeks unpaid leave.

I think Pryor could be a Brad Smith type of guy in a few years.  Pretty sure a 6'6" dude that runs a sub 4.4 could be turned into a receiving threat and he throws well enough to run the wildcat.  Seriously doubt he'd ever be anything better than a 3rd string QB.

Al Davis is crazy.  He just bought the most talked about college FB player from the 2010 season, who happened to be a big time QB at a big time school.  Al will not be able to help himself.  He will demand that Pryor be their starting QB.

Goodell seems pretty racist to me. Isn't that the same suspension Roethlisberger got for rape?
