Played a Musberger drinking game 1 time where you had to chug a beer for every time he said "footrace!"...got pretty mumped up
-
more like Burnt Cheeseburger imo
-
I love Musburger. When he's calling your team's game it gives a big time feel.
"Let's go to our old friend Jack Arute!!"
"Mack Brown is pulling Simms and bringing in The Major!"

I remember hearing the K-S-U chants at the stadium during Gameday all the way from Marlatt Hall. Magical time.

JFC, the DOD was amazing...
-
We should really perform an EMAW citizen arrest on Stoops when he comes into the Bill this year. That rough rider ruined us.

Good for him, honestly.

It's youtubes like these that make me want to tuck my shirt in.
The old boy could really coach back in the day. Damn.

WTF were you doing at Marlatt and not in the stadium K-S-Uing it up? Sounds Squakish.

Probably playing Dungeons and Dragons or something dorkish like that.

I was in a all-male dorm full of engineering students. What the eff do you think I was doing? Thats right! CounterStrike!

that first blitz/sack is a thing of beauty (and sadly, memories)

More accurate would be the old boy could really assemble a staff back in the day. Snyds is still the offensive dynamo he always was.
Love the all out blitz on OU's first drive. I'll enjoy watching Baylor's Phil Bennett defense.

CounterStrike during DoD home football games seems pretty dark.

the whole sequence from Quincy's TD and the blocked punt was just insane. it was like the entire stadium was roid raging.

I feel like Brent is too big for Big 12 basketball on week nights. I mean crap, he's the voice of Saturday Night Football. HUGE rough ridin' games for HUGE rough ridin' programs. Seeing him every monday for big 12 games just seems weird to me. :ck:

To clarify guys, I meant the chants during College Gameday (in the morning) could be heard from Marlatt.
I watched the game at my buddy's apartment. I remember being pissed at the end, but it was all better when I made out with his sister (who had a great rack by the way).

hemmy is going to print this tonight.
-
Is hemmy the guy that knocked up his girlfriend?
-
I just had a flashback of a bad Musburger memory....
"Folks, there's no quit in an Aggie"
Based on this I have decided to downgrade my love of Musburger to a strong like.
-

This got me wondering -- does anyone know how much #40 was paid to throw the 2000 Dr Pepper to the Landtheives?
-
Is hemmy the guy that knocked up his girlfriend?
No, but he's probably going to print that part too.
-
I really like when Munsberger does our games. I just don't like when he is paired with Bob Knight during basketball games, while Knight tries to coach during the whole game. Stupid. :flush:
-
He also uploaded the dr. pepper of that year. Man, DoD was amazing. Thankfully we suck now so I really don't have to worry about the outcome of the games because I know going into the season we will be somewhere between 5 and 8 wins.

the whole sequence from Quincy's TD and the blocked punt was just insane. it was like the entire stadium was roid raging.
God I miss this. Nothing gets a stadium buzzing like a Chris Cosh bend-but-don't-break with a FS that runs a 4.9 defense.
That McGraw/Proctor blitz at 2:04 was a thing of beauty.
That Morgan TD to Punt Block sequence might have been the most exciting sequence of plays I've experience at the stadium. The only thing I can think of that might come close was 21 points in 3 minutes against Texas in 2006.

I would kill to have that DL again.

That stadium has never...I repeat...NEVER...been as loud as it was when they blocked that punt.
To this day, that is my single favorite moment as a sports fan. Ever. It was unreal how that place came unglued. You felt it in your bones.

It's true, this topic comes up every year and it never gets old.
-
If there's one thing that I don't give a flying eff about, it's how loud it was during that punt block.

Then you weren't there, my friend.

I went back and re-watched highlights of the 2003 Dr. Pepper and reheard what might be my favorite Musberger quote of all time. At the end of the game he has this exchange with Gary:
GD: "I wonder if the Nebraska coaches thinks Kansas State is running up the score here against Oklahoma?"
BM: "Yeah, they'll come down here and accuse them of running it up"
GD: "Hahaha"
BM (slowly, in a disgusted tone): "Give me a break"

Those times when u get so fuckin jacked up when u fall down like 2 rows of seats....yeah, take that times 10 when that block happened....holy crap, so amazing in there that day :emawkid:, my 2nd favorite, i know not as loud, was sliding across the ice/snow field after nubb that year, felt pretty :ksu: there, brohugging/sledding with fellow EMAW'ers
-
I had forgotten how badly Jon McGraw was exposed in that game as well.

At the end of the first quarter when Danielson says: "I think Kansas State feels great about how they've stayed in this game" he means: "I'm shocked OU isn't up by at least 3 TDs by now"
-
Heupel is offensive coordinator for OU now. I'd like to see Arthur Brown put him on his ass this fall just for old time's sake.
It's kinda nice to not have to worry about wins or losses anymore...really lowers my blood pressure. Only have to get anxious if we're close enough in the 4Q to maybe pull an upset for a "signature win" for the year.

Huepel's performance in 03 was one of the most ridiculous QB performances I've ever seen. We beat the crap out of him and he was still throwing darts.

So rough ridin' true, IMO, this transcends all games I've watched professional and college. Better than Kirk Gibsons WS homer for the Dodgers, better than all the Lakers highlights from when I was a kid... the fact I too was in the student section made it that much more AWESOME!!! I've never wanted to kick Cosh in the balls more than this particular moment!!!

yeah, Jason White was hardly throwing darts in 2003 when KSU was kicking the crap out of him in that game. I seem to recall hearing that Jason White wasn't even sure who he was for part of the game.

the oklahoma fans are stunned

KANSAS STATE IS ALIVE AND WELL! :ksu:
