I'm OK, Angelo, thanks for asking. And you?

I'm doing well. I've been encouraged by what I've been able to do here, so far.

I know what you mean. I don't think either of us really knew what to expect.

Both gaze westerly to see the sun beginning to dip below the horizon. The moon is visible above.  Angelo leans against the door of his champagne Toyota Corolla; Meshack's hand rests on the hood. It's 8:12pm...

Kansas is so beautiful, in its simplicity, but you know the one thing I miss from back home?

The Spanish moss that hangs from the oak trees.

I know exactly what you mean.  I don't suppose there is anything else, that I could see, that would remind me more of home.

It's something to look forward to, I suppose.

Angelo waves to Cole Bachamp and Zach McFall as they walk through the parking lot. Meshack nods.

No, I haven't.

Meshack shrugs his shoulders. Both are quiet for a moment.

Angelo's driver's side door squeaks as he opens it.  There is no other audible sound to be heard.
