Title: 10 Things the KSU cat's better do the in the first half against EasKent
Post by: CHONGS on August 15, 2011, 04:58:05 PM
In order of preference:

1)  Not allow a third and long conversion in the first quarter
2)  QB sack + fumble (don't have to recover) with the D-line going apeshit afterwards
3)  No fumbles (an INT is ok if its an aggressive throw)
4)  Skinny post to the TE and its completed
5)  A punt longer than 45 yds (second quarter) with little to no return
6)  100 yrds of rushing
7)  hold opp to less than 60 rushing
8)  C Harp catches a pass and breaks a tackle for 10+ more yards
9)  Force opp to use two timeouts in the first quarter
10) Stop a third (or fourth) and short by stuffing the run (bad exchange doesn't count)

The number of these that get done will equal the number of conference win we will get.

yes! hope to see all of those.
can we make that into a bingo card?

11)  Klein completes at least 6 (5?) passes with no more than 2 incompletions?

Love it. Will have this on a 3X5' notecard, and will mark a "check" as each occurs/doesn't.

 :D

btw, does a moving charge create a magnetic field, or does it have to be accelerating?

I'm looking for Klein to have a bigger show than just completing 5 passes. I hope he throws for 150-200 yards, and Bryce Brown/other backs run for close to  150.

Look to Maxwell's Eq.

curl(B) = mu_0 J + mu_0 eps_0 partial(E,t)

div(J) = -partial(charge densiity,time)

so yes a moving charge (doesn't have to accelerate, but accelerating charges emit radiation [in other words moving magnetic fields])

I just hope CK throws the ball a ton.  I know we could just run the crap out of the ball and still win by 40 but I want to see if CK can throw against any defense not called the KSU Wildcats.

love the list, but this is absolutely gonna happen.  3rd and 8 for a 40 yard gain, nothing more infuriating in scrimmages like this.

To be honest, him throwing for a ton against EKU won't tell us anything either.  But if we can dominate with the run and CK gets a ton of time in the pocket throw then that would mean something to me.

What if they all happen? 10 conference wins  :runaway:

The offense usually looks pretty vanilla during the first game of the year. I would not expect more than 7-8 pass attempts from Klein.

WOW, now I feel like this is some kind of higher edumacation site!

Wish this would pop-up if any of these happen.

If we never have to punt, do we still get to mark off #5, or does that mean we will win one less conference game?

:ohno: Let's just hope that Eastern Kentucky can get a stop against our high-powered offense in the second quarter, then.

Sean is coaching them. No worries, there.
