I've been to Aggie twice, and each time I've felt like I was walking around in North Korea.
-
even the ones that aren't disgusting, like the collie stuff, are kinda weird. a little cute, but still weird. can't take the aggie out of aggie, i guess.
-
Yeah it's like, "Aww, they treat their collie as if it's a five star general. What a fun tradition." Then, when you bring it up to them at Dixie Chicken, you find out they actually respect the dog as a five star general.
And the collie graveyard?

did you know that when aggie has some sort of problem with the collie scoreboard, they had an aggie stand there during the games and write the scores on a white board for the dead collies?
that's aggie. that and burning their semen, jfc.

qft. also, :sdeek: :sdeek:

The longest standing A&M tradition: Being butthurt about their Galtian overlords the Texas Longhorns.
-
My personal favorite Aggie tradition is the one where you dodge bat crap on your way into midnight yell.
-
They're from another planet, what else needs to be said about those freaks?
-
We own them.
-
I met a couple of Aggies several years ago. They were telling me that incoming students have to go to school a week before classes begin to attend something called "Howdy camp" to learn all thier cheers or something. Seemed like a huge waste of time to me.

That and how to build a bonfire without killing your fellow aggies...

They should start practicing buliding them every night so they can kill off a few more of them. You got to practice to get crap done right you know.

I know this topic is old as balls, but I got into a heated debate about schools who have the best football traditions last night and one gentleman brought up a very compelling argument that schools with living animal mascots get a lot of attention (except Colorado). Since we're on the verge of stepping up our game in the stadium renovation department would it be wise to consider bringing back Touchdown to garner a little added attention on Saturdays? I think having a live bobcat in the stadium would be BA.

Willie should have it on a leash by where the visiting players enter the field, and let it get close enough to scare the crap out of them, but not close enough to actually bite them or anything. That would be fun.

Without a doubt yes. Everytime I read about Touchdown, I wonder why the hell we don't still have a live bobcat. And I agree it would definitely be badass.
I might just start a "Bring Touchdown Back" (BTB) group and make this happen.
-
yeah, nothing more leet than a bobcat in a cramped cage
-

Doesn't have to be cramped, and I would contend that a bobcat in captivity lives a much better life than one in the wild. Obviously, this is if the conditions are humane, and they would be.

I just came up with a new corner terrace idea :peek:

Ain't nothing sadder than an outdoor cat that thinks he's an indoor cat.

ADJC better put a rough ridin' zoo there. Or at least do something like what they do in Tampa Bay

Imagine this happening every game but with a freaking bobcat! Nothing will put the fear of EMAW into the hearts and minds of opposing players better than Touchdown biting and scratching the crap out of them.

I think we should just give Willie heads to chimpanzees and let them run around the sidelines wearing football uniforms.
-
Actually, forget the chimps. Just get this guy.

Apparently if they are raised from when they're young like a normal house cat or dog, bobcats are tame.
Just imagine this majestic, badass animal at BSFS on gamedays.

Just glue a willie head onto a gorilla; that will stop the people from making fun of our half finished mascot. I would also suggest putting a corridor of zoo glass between the playing field and fans.

Learned something over on shaggy the other day...
Aggies claim their collie as a general and say the rank was bestowed on one of the dogs after WWII for "the sacrifice aggie soldiers made in helping win the war"
In reality their dog was given the title of general because there was a fundraising effort during the war and you could cut the government a check and your pet would be an honorary "general".
Aggie gonna aggie.

Thanks for getting the thread back on track ben ji. Good grief everyone else.
-
Well that's just great. Now somebody has to start a "Bring Touchdown back to the sidelines on gameday" thread.
