They may care, in the same way you or I care about Iowa State, but when push comes to shove, and words like "financially viable," get thrown around, they would drop us without blinking an eye.

The shitty thing about this is that deloss has probably pissed off enough people with the LHN to not have much clout behind closed doors now. Otherwise, assuming he still gives a eff about us he could've put in a good word or two for us behind the scenes.

Well now that this quote has been brought to my attention, I mean, I just don't know.

So time to make some enemy's. KU by itself could land the A10 and perhaps by super conference chance the big east. K-State would land the mountain west or the remenants of the big 12 plus houston tulsa and rice, this just because we yearn to be a football school. Without us Ku could never hold the KC and Wichita market intact. Together we are safe in assuming that if super conferences happen somebody will want the KU PLUS K-state basketball prestige and the KC/Whichita market and alone neither of us can do that. We are forever bound to that red headed step child in lawrence since they won the war over the med school and seperate we are average, but together we are strong. I hate it you hate it but Mizzou wishes we were both in hell. In the end don't worry about the big 12, theres some saying like don't mess with Texas and K-state has taken that to heart, we might win a lot of games against them, but we have also tried to be as close as possible to them. We are not afraid of Texas and never will be, they can't take Whichita or KC and KU can't without us, we are the gorilla glue that keeps the edges of a BCS conference together.

I've never seen parentheses used in a quote before. Did you mean to use brackets? If so, how do you mean he meant Texas. He never said Texas.
