Just got an insidery text from a goEMAW'r that we have 2 other running backs as good as Bryce.

The above was modified to meet FFF's positive-only criteria for this thread.

Confirmed we are "stacked" at RB. Our third stringer was a 5 star US army high school all american. We are truely blessed. :lynchmob:

Our running backs are very good. It really won't make much difference who starts at that position.

If Arthur gets put behind Hrebec on the depth chart, it's time to freak out.

With the talent and speed we have now, I think we have so many options it's scary and our wildcat formation w/ Wilson blocking, Brown and Huebert/ D. Robinson could be something special if our Ol is worth a damn.  :ksu:

Per speaking with 4 KSU DB's, of which will not be named:

1. CK is a stud. Smart, fast as crap, and has a cannon
2. Brod is not the WR he was before he got injured
3. McFall has the best hands on the team, but is a huge douche.
4. BB runs hard, but Pease will probably be the starter. Says he is better than DT, runs harder but is quicker.
5. Hubert, BB, and Pease will all share carries
6. EMan is a monster at LB, much better than he was at safety
7. Darious Thomas is still trying to get cleared to play, but is going to class here

That does suck about Brod, McFall, Zac McFall, I think. No idea what year he is or what.  Hopefully, Brod can continue to progress and get better as the year goes.  Even without Brod not being what he was last year I think the WR's will be fine.  Next time ask about the Dline, would love to know if the Dline will be garbage or not.

Some guy said in another thread that the D-line was stuffing the run in practice but he didn't know if that was an indication of a good DL or a sorry ass OL and RBs.

Yeah Zach McFall. He's a rs jr. Transferred here last year from FSCC. He was a starting slot on that team that lost to cam newton in the juco nc. MHS graduate. I remember hearing about him after the north texas game last year when he had two catches. Harp called him "the future" in post game and said he's got unbelievablely hands.

He's been on the roster since spring of '10, I believe. Just cuz he has good hands doesn't mean he'll be seeing much playing time, especially now that Lockett is here.

Good info for sure nice work

1.  I've been drinking the CK kool aid for awhile I think he's going to be good maybe even really good like Ell good.
2. Sorry to hear this he was better then people give him credit for before he got hurt.
3.  Every team has a white walk on with best hands on the team.
4.  Still not sure what to think about Pease. He wasn't anything special as a RB in JC but the reports are interesting.
5.  Figured as much don't think anyone on this team is ready for 25 carries
6.  I hope he does well at LB.   Lamur strikes me as a guy who tears it up in practice and then is just so so in games.  I'll take a wait and see approach with him.   The first summer he got to KSU everyone was talking about how good he was and then he was just kind of ok when the games started.  His brother is the same way scout team hero.
7.  This would be cool if he could play but I'm not counting on it.

Greyshirt is pretty ideal for a recruit in this situation. He basically gets an extra year; this semester at home to rehab, then next semester to see where he's at. If he still has recovery left, then you redshirt him next year. It helps that is sounds like Harvhill is completely EMAW, you won't get everyone to go this route.

Not to mention the fact that we have about seven upperclassmen that can rotate in and out of DT, and Lamonte Clark is most likely going to redshirt.

He's not vital to our success this year, so it's not a huge deal.  I really like getting 5.5 semesters out of a DT.  Especially one that looks like he'll absolutely love the training table and weight room.

the online roster is changing a little here and there.  Today Kyle Klein and Darnell Howard were both moved from DE to TE.  the walk-on this board discussed last spring, O'Ryan Wiley, now appears as a defensive back.

Like that move of Klein.  He is allegedly one of the fastest players on the team.  I've always wanted that James Hanna (OU) or Kyler Reed (NU) type of deep threat at TE.  I hope K. Klein presents something similar to those two.  Stretching the field vertically on offense is fun and exciting..yaaay (see Cats '97-'03)

There are reasons certain individuals are on the two and three deep and it has nothing to do with talent or being in the dog house. Sometimes playing a kid to be a little better this year is a waste of a year when the team can be even better next year when the player has more of the support he needs. There, I think that’s generic enough.

There are reasons certain individuals are on the two and three deep and it has nothing to do with talent or being in the dog house. Sometimes playing a kid to be a little better this year is a waste of a year when the team can be even better next year when the player has more of the support he needs. There, I think that’s generic enough.

who made this Daniel Sams quote?

I thought it was a Locket quote?  :dunno:

If you don't play someone who would make the team better you should be fired.

Every coach in Division 1 football should be fired, then.  Every coach redshirts at least one player who would make the team better in some capacity (special teams, rotational player for depth, etc.).  Also, how do you know that these redshirted players aren't making the team better by playing on the scout team all year?  The "play him no matter what if he makes the team better" ideology is a terribly flawed one.

You can redshirt a player even if you think it makes the team better as long as you don't think that player will give you another win.

The world is going to end some day; you might as well play the best of your players now.

poor guy.  no legs and no understanding of bar clamps.  that weight is going to go further and further out until he tips off the bench.   :sdeek:

Either get him a spotter or put on some collars.
whats he got to worry about he can roll the weight right off his stomach.

Wow, not only does _33 know more about football than Mel Kiper, he also knows more than every single D1 coach.  Man, we are so blessed to have him on this board.
