Title: Road wins...
Post by: kso_FAN on February 24, 2010, 12:50:21 PM
Upon Further Review (http://uponfurtherreview.kansascity.com/?q=node/1933) puts out another nice piece about the Cats, this time focusing on road wins.  I hope this team can get itself in the same company with past EMAW road warrior teams.

And other good stuff about Pullen/Clemente, etc. as well.

I like what Colon brings to the table as a physical defender, but when he starts believing he’s Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, everyone loses.

Our impressive road wins will (hopefully) guarantee that we make the tournament this year.   :pbj:

Earlier in the year, K-State had a potentially rough string of road games that consisted of Washington State, Xavier, at UNLV and at Alabama.

"In Colon’s first 14 games, he was 13-of-27 from the field (48%). In his last four games, he’s 10-of-26 (38%). He was 2-for-8 against Tech."

Ok, so take away last night, and the 3 games prior Lu was 8-18 (44%) I'll take that...let's give him just a little bit of a break for an off night.  Lu's a little like DC, he's easy to poke at when he has an off night, but we need him to at least make a few buckets to keep the defense honest.  I'd be a lot happier if he would use that big body to go TOWARD the goal with a power move instead of the fade away hook....either way, he's doing ok in my book.

Too bad we lost to oawk state, would still have a chance to beat every B12 team in regular season conference play. Anyone know the last time the cats were able to do that?
