Title: sunscreen help

want to get a tan, so want to apply some spf 30.  however i only have spf 15 and spf 50.  can i mix them together and get some spf 32.5?  will this turn out to be spf 65 instead?  =mods=?

it might be like scoville units, but i dunno.  you're :kstategrad: though, so you should probably just donate what's left of the spf 15 and spf 50 to a squawk each of pbx/scoops' choosing and go buy yourself a fine vintage 30.

wrong.  and why the need for name calling?  i just don't know about this place anymore.  if a guy can't ask a legitimate question without being called a dumbass, maybe gpc were right, maybe this is a cesspool.

check the ingredients.  if they are both based on the same chemicals, then yes mixing them will get you a sunscreen that is about halfway between the two.  if they're based on diff. chemicals it prolly will anyways.

honestly, though.  at this latitude, with spf 30 you're not hardly going to tan at all, even if out all day.  at least i wouldn't.

Tomato paste has a good amount of lycopene which may or may not help your body naturally resist harmful uv rays

if you add equal amounts, you will actually get spf 10. It's called the doppler effect, ask chingon for details.
