It looks about right, but I'm with hatter, I think MU losses 5 games or so.

I think we could finish as high as 6th. 5th is possible if all the planets and stars and moons align.

I think there's a vacuum there in the 4-7 range that could be filled by every team listed (below #3) with the exception of Kansas.  After OU/OSU/A&M, everyone else is really hard to predict.

Missouri at 4 is the biggest stretch on that list.  They'll end up in the bottom half this year.

I'm optimistic we can finish 5th or 6th. I'd like to think we can get the same record as Missouri and win the tie breaker

1. OU
2. OSU
3. A&M
4. Texas
5.  :ksu:
6. Mizzou
7. Baylor
8. Tech
9. Iowa St
10.  :opcat:

at least 6th or we won't make a bowl...

could be  great year if we do well vs. A&M and Baylor at home and spank KU again..

Missouri is going to beat us by at least 24 pts.

Waters calmed!

At least there's no out-of-work coach with a recent proven track record of winning big (especially over our current coach) that's just sitting out there selling books that we're missing out on by continuing to indulge some retiree's messiah complex.

Do you fellas and gals think Patterson will come to K-State even if we're in the Big East with them?

If he didn't slam the door shut on KSU because of the Fitz fuckup, he did once they got AQ status.

That ship sailed.  We all need to get on the Mike Leach train.

Old balls, huh!  What are you about 25 yo or something?   Snyder would accomplish more in a month than you would in your lifetime.   Do you think any other coach would have gotten Brod Smith, Chris Harper and the Brown brothers back to Kansas?  The answer would be a resounding no.  I want to be there when we finish 10-3 this year and you are scrambling the explain the "experts'" predictions.  Enjoy your gayhawk football(oxymoron, btw) which is where you belong.

OK. That convinced me. I'm officially off the 'clams to replace OB bandwagon.

Unfortunately, he also brought Chris Cosh back to Kansas.

I do think another coach would have axed Cosh before the bowl game.

I can't think of another coach who could get their son to be an assistant coach and grandson on scholarship simultaneously.

Which happens first?
1.) Snyder resigns/gets fired/retires again,  or...
2.) B12 dissolves

RE: Leach. The article linked is worth the read. Great stuff. Would take so hard.

Quote
Where would he coach if he could, carte blanche, pick a school? He wants a place with good tradition and the chance to compete for titles, but a place with some challenges and history of recent struggle, some place like UCLA or North Carolina. The nice thing about talking to Leach is how you can throw the e-brake and turn the car around in conversation mid-stream without worrying about losing him, and I do this by wondering out loud about how aberrant the success of a place like Virginia Tech was, a school without an easy local recruiting gold mine to sit on, a place sort of thrown out in the hills with no major city near it.

He nods.

"I think we were almost there in Lubbock. Other schools like Texas and Oklahoma are getting 23 draft picks in five years, and we're getting nine. They turn out draft picks all the time there, and we were getting there. We could have had something like Virginia Tech in Lubbock, I think.

"Ah." The look he gives the phone suggests Mike Leach will upgrade his cellphone technology sometime around the time he hires Craig James as his offensive coordinator.
