When the Democrats were the clear minority about 5 years ago, according to them deficits, spiraling debt and war spending were terrible, terrible things.

Their solution . . . a massive acceleration of all three when they took control of Congres and the Whitehouse in 2008 and 2009.

Pfffftttttt....  the problem is that Bush cut taxes and spent like there was no tomorrow.  That's a lethal combination for any economy.  As for the additional increases in spending around 2008/2009, it's called a "recession," 'Pad.  In fact, it was the worst recession since the Great Depression, and a lot of it had to do with Bush's fiscal and monetary policies.  There were two stimuli, one for the banks (TARP), and one for the people (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act), which totaled around $1.4 trillion.  Quit trying to blame the Democrats every time one of your dumbass right wing politicians gets in office and f*cks everything up.

The problem with Democrats is that every one of their answers is lined with excuse after excuse.

In 2006 their squeal was, "why are we at war . . . Bush lied . . . Impeach Bush . . . bring the troops home", their answer to that?  Ensuring that when they took over Congress that every war spending bill was passed with ease and that the military/industrial/intelligence complex was funded at the highest possible levels and ultimately lead to a surge and then subsequent expansion of the war into Pakistan, Libya, Yemen and now Somalia.   Recently, the Obama White House asked for the largest military budget in U.S. history, only surpassing their own previous record.   Today . . . Bombing for Al Queda is perfectly fine, and the CIA essentially has carte blanche to do whatever they want, whenever they want.

Just say No to War . . . Unless a Democrat is President.

The new tactic?  Actually bring some of the troops, reclassify many but still keep them in country, hire even more mercs, and roll more of the war under the umbrella of JSOC and the CIA, and ensure there is very little if any oversight.

We love the CIA . . . as long as a Democrat is President.

They weren't significant enough, and if you really want to go there, where are all the jobs that those Bush tax cuts were supposed to create?

You must have missed the part where we got bin Laden and cut troop levels in Iraq.

So.... you're making 6 figures straight out of college, have a 2 million dollar trust, and are a member of Seal Team 6?  :dubious:

You must have missed the part where they reclassified troops as "non combat" and when they did "reduce" they just hired more contractors to take their place.  Regular Army comes home, spooks, mercs and Hillary's Private State Department army take their place.   You're absolutely clueless.

Got Bin Laden . . . really, that's the claim to fame?  So I guess the "war on Terror" should be over, but not with this administration, now it's bombing for Al Queda and the Muslim Brotherhood, the destabilization of Pakistan, and more secret CIA bases.   But that's okay, he's a Democrat afterall.

Not worth it's own topic but kind of funny, so I thought I would add it to the comics section.

the debt ceiling fight is butthurting the entire democratic party.

the butthurt Chairman is E. Cantor and its not even close. His ideology that every single tax levied is some sort of grand larceny against corprorations who (in his world) are creating jobs in the US will be the death of our entire country...its on life support.

Limestone is like Steve Carell's character in the movie Anchorman.  He just blurts out random sentences in hopes that something will eventually make sense.
