Did you guys know that she is the sister of KCTV5's own Morning Meteorologist, Gary Amble?
Well, she is!
Here's more fun info about TV's Gary Amble if you are interested:
Gary Amble joined KCTV5 in June 1994. Gary is the morning meteorologist on More In The Morning and KCTV5 News at Noon.
Prior to joining KCTV5, Gary spent time as the main weather anchor for WHO-TV, Des Moines; morning meteorologist, KFDA, Amarillo; weekend weathercaster KSNT, Topeka; and chief weathercaster, Cable 6, Lawrence.
He received his formal education at the University of Kansas in Lawrence and graduated in 1987 with a degree in atmospheric science. Before arriving at KU, Gary ran track at Allen County Community College and Pittsburg State University.
Gary has been awarded the seal of approval from the American Meteorological Society and is currently an AMS member. He notes one of the highlights of his career to be the flood of 1993 in Des Moines, when he worked nearly 22 hours straight on the air!
Gary enjoys spending time with his wife Lori and children, Kirsten and Tyler. Favorite pastimes include, watching KU football and basketball, and playing softball. Gary also enjoys hunting and fishing. Gary and his family reside in Shawnee, Kan.

kctv5 is god awful. Weren't they the last KC news station to go HD like 2 years ago?

Michelle Bachmann is being outed as a blatant hypocrite or dumbass on the farm subsidy issue. Her statements don't coincide with her Congressional documents which showed that her family farm accepted hundreds of thousands in subsidies the last 15 years.
and.....she doesn't know where The Duke was born. That's more un-American than taking a free handout. Way more.

Well, not knowing where the Duke was born is fine...imo. But thinking he was born in your hometown your whole life, when it turns out to be this guy

Yeah, I'm sure she meant to say John Wayne Gacy, and has no idea they are two different people.
We'd be much better off with a guy that is completely bewildered as to the american economy, honors navy corpse men, thinks there are 57 states, and who doesn't even do interviews sua sponte, but who talks really nice when reading off of a teleprompter.
Way to go sheeple. Continue to let the media drag you down into the insignificant while the people of the country suffer under the senseless leadership of an overwhelmed child.

Before the morons on this board start using their Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) logic and presume that because I said the linked article is dumb and irrelevant that therefore I am a Michelle Bachman supporter, I am not. I know nothing about her, other than she's attractive for her age, has tons of foster kids, and supposedly did well at a primary debate.
That being the case, I am 100% certain she would do a better job running this country than the partisan whiny child who is currently tasked with that position.
I thought McCain Obama was a bullshit choice and chose neither. We'll just have to wait and see in 2012.

It is funny that this is an issue. Like any of you know which town John Wayne was born in and which one John Wayne Gacy was born in.

um...I know the difference between John Wayne...
and John Wayne Gacy.
Don't dumb this down to your level.
-
Who cares where either of them were born. Its just that mixing the two up is hilarious. And she thought John Wayne was from her hometown her whole life

Obama mentions his Muslim faith. Talks about the 59 States. Sees dead people in the audience on Veteran's day. Shits himself when his teleprompter goes south.
But Ms. Bachman is waaaaayy stupider.

They're both stupid assholes.

What is sad is the media reporting on this issue left all of you dumbasses thinking John Wayne Gacy was born in Waterloo, which he was not. He was born in Chicago, and lived there until he was 20 years old. He then moved to Las Vegas for 3 months but then returned to Chicago until the age of 22. His employer then transferred him to Springfield, Illinois. Only then at the age of 23 did he move to Waterloo, Iowa, and he spent 3 years there from 1965 to 1968. The murders took place later after he had moved back to Chicago. So for all of the reporting to claim that Gacy was "from" Waterloo when he had only spent three years there in his twenties is intentionally misleading in my opinion.
But that is not even the whole story.......
Now comes word that… yes indeed… Clyde Morrison and his blushing bride Molly got married in…. Waterloo, Iowa. And settled there.
Later moving to Winterset, Iowa. Where they had their bouncing baby boy Marion.
Who grew up to become -- yes indeed -- John Wayne.
Not John Wayne Gacy.
John Wayne.
Is it entirely possible Bachmann made a small mistake -- the newlywed parents lived there and she thought Wayne was born there? Sure. But were his parents from Waterloo? Yes, 100% fact.
By the way, Barack Obama talked today about his 13 year-old daughter.
Problem? She's twelve.
Not to worry. Obama's a genius even if he gets his own daughter's age wrong. Bachmann is an idiot if she mistakes Wayne's parent's residence for Wayne's birthplace in the sentence "John Wayne was from Waterloo."
Do you know how many people say Calvin Coolidge was from Northampton, Massachusetts?
Not true.
He was from Plymouth, Vermont. He moved to Northampton after college.
Are people who say these things idiots? No. But I bet most of them know the age of their kids.
And the Bachmann-was-thinking-of-John Wayne Gacy-idea?
Made up out of whole cloth by ignorant people with malice aforethought. And stupidly bought by some who should know better.
This country has serious problems. And this is what passes for debate? Disgraceful.

Google scans the page for words. Since the word "Bachmann" appeared on the page many times, google decided to place the Bachmann presidential ad on the page.
This was free advice. You can do with it as you please, but I doubt you will make 0.01% as much as google in your lifetime.
-
What type of "scanners" do they use? Is there some guy somewhere who scans ever webpage on the interwebs? Or does he just go to the location of the interwebs and scan? More advice pls. I think if we can create a better scanner we could gobble up the internet ad market and mint coin. :kstategrad:

Hannity is very reluctant to give Paul much more than "Oh his followers are very passionate...blah blah blah"
To his credit though he had Rand Paul on at the beginning and has been focusing a lot on the big losers of the day.
EDIT: Hannity's cronies come right back and say he's "Left of Obama" on Iran...which is completely not the case

I wasn't aware that adhering to the constitution is a "left" point of view. The Patriot Act is a direct assault on our civil liberties, as is the out of control TSA
Nor was I aware that acknowledging the fact that we created Iran's hatred for us by overthrowing their first democratically elected government in history in 1953. Paul isn't afraid to call a spade a spade, while everyone else says "How dare you question US foreign policy in the past!" and "Why admit we made mistakes!! We are the USA!!!"

Well they are. Thing is all of Paul's votes are probably real. Most of the others probably had their tickets paid for by the campaigns.
-
Does anybody actually believe Iran would not use a nuclear device, at least by proxy?

Bachmann sounded somewhat normal today on Fox. Still scarily religious but not near as dumb as Palin.

I agree. I was just pointing out Sean Hannity is a douche bag.
Does anybody actually believe Iran would not use a nuclear device, at least by proxy?
Who's to say that they would? Iran hasn't attacked anyone in like 500 years. Plus, as I said above, they hate us because we mumped over their democracy to replace it with a dictator that terrorized it's people for 25 years. Maybe they wouldn't hate us so much if we would just stop rough ridin' around all over the world and mind our own business. Let Israel deal with them.

It would go directly into the hands of Hamas and al Qeada, who will use it.

According to what/who? Were any of the 9/11 hijackers even from Iran? Does Iran not understand that if they do give a nuke to someone, it would cost the lives of pretty much their entire nation? They have no means of defending themselves.
Nukes are pretty serious crap, and I doubt Iran would just "give" one to a terrorist.

It's not a neo-conservative point of view. I'll give you that. That link fails to mention why we were attacked in the first place....and believe it or not, it's because we've been meddling in mid east issues for 60 years so we can control their oil, not because we're "free" like the neo-cons would like you to think.

Believe me, I know a ton of republicans, and just about all of them would agree with that article and say we were attacked because Muslims hate freedom. I will agree that democrats in office war monger just as much as republicans, but if we tried to differentiate the two parties based upon what their actual representatives do on the job, it would be pretty hard to tell a difference.

Must be nice to be B.O. He gets to be a religious "nut job" and nobody cares. Rev. Wright is just "provocative", Michelle Bachman on the other hand is a god fearing lunatic. GMAFB Bookcat
Sen. Barack Obama's pastor says blacks should not sing "God Bless America" but "God damn America."
The Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obama's pastor for the last 20 years at the Trinity United Church of Christ on Chicago's south side, has a long history of what even Obama's campaign aides concede is "inflammatory rhetoric," including the assertion that the United States brought on the 9/11 attacks with its own "terrorism."
In a campaign appearance earlier this month, Sen. Obama said, "I don't think my church is actually particularly controversial." He said Rev. Wright "is like an old uncle who says things I don't always agree with," telling a Jewish group that everyone has someone like that in their family.
Rev. Wright married Obama and his wife Michelle, baptized their two daughters and is credited by Obama for the title of his book, "The Audacity of Hope."
An ABC News review of dozens of Rev. Wright's sermons, offered for sale by the church, found repeated denunciations of the U.S. based on what he described as his reading of the Gospels and the treatment of black Americans.
"The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing 'God Bless America.' No, no, no, God damn America, that's in the Bible for killing innocent people," he said in a 2003 sermon. "God damn America for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America for as long as she acts like she is God and she is supreme."
In addition to damning America, he told his congregation on the Sunday after Sept. 11, 2001 that the United States had brought on al Qaeda's attacks because of its own terrorism.
"We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye," Rev. Wright said in a sermon on Sept. 16, 2001.
"We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards. America's chickens are coming home to roost," he told his congregation.
Sen. Obama told the New York Times he was not at the church on the day of Rev. Wright's 9/11 sermon. "The violence of 9/11 was inexcusable and without justification," Obama said in a recent interview. "It sounds like he was trying to be provocative," Obama told the paper.
Rev. Wright, who announced his retirement last month, has built a large and loyal following at his church with his mesmerizing sermons, mixing traditional spiritual content and his views on contemporary issues.
"I wouldn't call it radical. I call it being black in America," said one congregation member outside the church last Sunday.
"He has impacted the life of Barack Obama so much so that he wants to portray that feeling he got from Rev. Wright onto the country because we all need something positive," said another member of the congregation.
Rev. Wright, who declined to be interviewed by ABC News, is considered one of the country's 10 most influential black pastors, according to members of the Obama campaign.
Obama has praised at least one aspect of Rev. Wright's approach, referring to his "social gospel" and his focus on Africa, "and I agree with him on that."
Sen. Obama declined to comment on Rev. Wright's denunciations of the United States, but a campaign religious adviser, Shaun Casey, appearing on "Good Morning America" Thursday, said Obama "had repudiated" those comments.
In a statement to ABCNews.com, Obama's press spokesman Bill Burton said, "Sen. Obama has said repeatedly that personal attacks such as this have no place in this campaign or our politics, whether they're offered from a platform at a rally or the pulpit of a church. Sen. Obama does not think of the pastor of his church in political terms. Like a member of his family, there are things he says with which Sen. Obama deeply disagrees. But now that he is retired, that doesn't detract from Sen. Obama's affection for Rev. Wright or his appreciation for the good works he has done."

If we raise taxes on millionaires and billionaires making more than $200,000 a year, the pressure on the middle class will be resolved.
It's sickening that this imbecile gets to say such insanely stupid crap without any recourse whatsoever. He's confusing personal wealth, with annual income, with groups of people wholly unaffected by the tax rate of one another.
Meanwhile 3 pages on two women who aren't even legitimate presidential candidates (if they were liberals everyone in this thread would be chastised as sexist).
 :flush:
