Title: Kansas Best 150
Post by: Scary Smart on June 19, 2011, 10:48:51 AM
Two of the eight categories have already been voted on, but you can vote for the other six (Industry, Personalities, Sports, Education, Retail, Community) right now. The Cuisine category results are full of LOL's since the Top 5 choices are full of Topeka places, but the Destinations category results are pretty much dominated by MHK. Basically, it's a website run by Topeka news outlets for Topeka 'tucks.

 Longhorn Steakhouse

Puffy's Steak and Ice House - Maple Hill
 North Star Steakhouse - Topeka
 Topeka Steak House

is this a plea so the places in bold don't leave?

How did Subway only get voted 2nd??  :shakesfist:

Some of my favorite categories:

Quote
Ranch:
(Be it calves, sheep or emus, what ranch offers you quality and satisfaction?)

Quote
Exotic Livestock:
(Worms, ostrich, geese, white mice or alpacas...they’re all a bit strange but who, where, what rings your bell the loudest?)

Quote
High School Cheerleader Squad:
(Good choreography, motivating cheers, heart pumping moves - who is your favorite to watch?)

Quote
Western Wear:
(What is your favorite place to cowboy up?)

It's telling when chain restaurants are anywhere near a top 5 in a "cuisine" category for AN ENTIRE STATE.

I'm surprised McDonalds didn't make it into the top 5 for barbeque with the classic McRib sandwich.

It's the white midwesterner's way of trying to get them to serve it year round.
