I think it is good but that most people that do it are bad at it. Kind of like the rap.
Anyways, let's post some pictures of great street art in this thread. Also, if you would like to explain your thoughts on street art please do so in this thread as well.
This is a piece of street art in Bogota, Colombia. It was done by street artist blu. I saw some of his murals on buzzfeed. I also watched that documentary that had banksy in it called "exit through the gift shop." That was pretty good.
As I said previously, feel free to contribute.

mostly it's really bad, and i hate it. but sometimes it's a little bit funny. people that apply it to attractive buildings/walls piss me the eff off.

Street art makes a city more interesting, and anybody who doesn't like it can suck a dick.
This one is called "Hip Crip."

I thought Exit Through a Gift Shop was alright, but should have had more Banksy in it.

Heres a ad-firm's self promo in the UK that markets reverse graffiti by cleaning soot and filth off of walls.

Does anyone remember someone tagging "AMOK" all over Manhattan curbs circa 01/02?
Exit Through The Gift Shop thoughts: I guess I'll make it spoiler :/
Kitsch can only be so ironic before even the dumbest of people see through it, and yet 'Mr. Brainwash' dupes thousands of L.A. hipster wannabies into spending thousands of dollars on clichéd reinterpretations of Warhol.
My interpretation of Mr. Brainwash was that he was just some guy that Banksy was hanging around with and decided it would be funny to make him into a trendy art star by basically making cheap ripoff art and hawking it to the bandwagoning masses. I believe the existence Mr. Brainwash himself was Banksy's creation meant to be a commentary on the art world and art's consumers.
I thought it was funny for the same reason. A rumor came out that Mr. Brainwash was actually Banksy, which would have made sense because that's what Banksy is all about; making fun of consumers. He would definitely do something like make a movie where he hides his face, then it turns out he was seen all throughout the movie. I mean, it makes no sense as to why Mr. Brainwash would be able to track down Banksy as easily as he did, and why Banksy would say it was okay for some guy he doesn't know to record him.
All this to say, your theory makes more sense.
WRFF can attest that the street art in New Orleans is second to none.

Good points; either way it was highly entertaining.

Yes, those are very cool. A lot of thought goes into putting those together.

This showed up on a wall in Ocean Beach a couple of months ago. "OMG, it's a Banksy!" Banksy's manager said "no it isn't" and it was painted over the next day. :dubious:
