Has anyone ever taken the afternoon of work and then got so pakd that they took a "nap" and then woke up and saw the clock and spent five minutes thinking that they were late for work to only finally figure out that it was 8pm and not 8am? Have a friend that this just happened to. Weird, no? Should he get help? I think maybe. Thoughts?

I used to do that all the time in MHK.

Tell the friend to keep his chin up...

i've randomly woke up in the middle of the night, thinking it was time to get up for work. Usually takes 5 min. or so till i realize what time it is.

used to do this a lot. a few times I didnt wake/sober up enough to realize what was happening until after having already showered.

All the time.

this really isn't that uncommon of an occurrence.

I could take the long way home in the morning if there's eggbake.

one time when I was in high school I did this (without being drunk) and actually woke up and made myself some toast at 7:30 p.m.

your friend prolly felt pretty amazing when he/she realized what time it actually was. worth the short period of being scared.

Done this without being drunk. I worked on a construction site one summer, I had to leave for work at 5:30 am, and normally worked 10+ hour shifts. I'd gotten home a bit early because of rain and laid down, fell asleep in my clothes, and woke up at 7:00 thinking I was going to get fired, when I came running down the stairs to go out the door I realized it was 7pm...I didn't want to get canned from a $20+/hr job.

I got shitfaced on a Friday night a few weeks ago after a really crap week at work. I woke up around 5:30 am hungover to take a piss and was borderline suicidal because I had to be at work in a couple hours. It wasn't until I got back into bed that I realized it was Saturday but I was already so upset that I was bummed out for the rest of the day. Alochol really fucks with my emotions sometimes. Not sure what's up wiht that.

Someone at my work actually came in at 8pm (thinking he was an hour late) with an excuse that his car broke down. When he saw the timeclock, he quietly left through the back door and never spoke of it again.

The few times I have gone on real 4 day benders have resulted in the most depressing thoughts I've ever experienced. I will also get nightmares during bad withdrawals. Getting drunk more than 2 days consecutively is incredibly not worth it.
