Oh my god that is the worst write up I have ever seen. How dumb do you have to be to put a coaching legend that will be in the hall of fame as the worst coach in the big 12? Snyder could coach from the grave and still be the 5th best in the conference. This is beyond ridiculous, I had to check to make sure it wasn't from the Onion.

It was hardly even a write-up, just a presentation of bill's lackluster record over the last 7 seasons.  Pretty fair, imo.

Real Rank of Big 12 Coaches:

1.  Bob Stoops
2.  Mack Brown
3.  Tommy Tuberville
4.  Gary Pinkel
5.  Mike Gundy
6.  Mike Sherman
7.  LHC Bill Snyder
8.  Art Briles
9.  Paul Rhodes
10. Turner Gill

8-10 are all interchangeable IMHO

That article was just plum ridiculous. LHC Bill Snyder took over the worst program in college football and turned it into a powerhouse. He's got the program heading in the right direction after the dark days of Ron Princess. Apparently, 59-7 doesn't mean much to that schmo. I think I'll write up an email and let that son of a bitch have a piece of my mind.

It's just a stupid concept or angle for an approach to a story. Equivalent to, "if these 6-foot basketball players were 6-3 or 6-4, which would make the best NBA player. 10th is still preposterous. Only worthwhile information I got out of that was that Coach came up one win short of 150 last season, which I'd forgotten the Cats needed eight wins to do. Beyond that, not much to see here, move along.

The only reason you need is that you can fire Gill. One more 2-10 and KU can can his ass. You think we could pull that with Bill...ever? There is also the argument that he can recruit better, but I don't think you even need to go there when you have the inability to fire OB.

the whole idea that we can't get rid of him whenever we want is preposterous.  all you have to do is make it clear that he is not wanted or welcome and he'll bolt.  he left under a lot less pressure the first time.

I think that him now being determined to have a member of his progeny take over us having an AD in place that won't bend to Bill's every desire will make it much harder.

he knows that's ultimately not his call.  a good time to remind him of it is when you let him know that he's not wanted or welcome.

Isn't it just a little too early to say this? If Turner Gill went 5-7 this year and 6-6 the next, he would get a 4th year. Bill has had more success and is only heading in to his third year, so it's irrational to say that the only reason he hasn't been fired is that he's LHC Bill Snyder. We have the advantage of Bill being very old. He could die any day for crying out loud.
