Title: This probably belongs in "Coaching Carousel"
Post by: Underdog Wildcat on April 13, 2011, 12:30:48 PM
Sorry to interrupt Frankmania but Haith and Missouri made a significant additon to their staff with Tim Fuller from Louisville. DeArmond has an article up in the Star where he's crowing about it. Damage control article from L'ville linked below doesn't mention Fuller being primary recruiter for Class of '12 consensus 5* Rodney Purvis. If MU can pull off the Fuller/Purvis coup, I wouldn't say it's at the same level as Hill/Beasley but it's in the ballpark.

810 was saying this morning that Purvis has some how backed off Louisville since the hire.  They said that they would be shocked if he even looked at MU, but if true, it shows what Fuller is to a certain extent.  They said that he has only been in coaching for two years, or so, and that he was a pretty high up guy on the Nike Basketball side of things.

What I want to know is, where is MU going to get it's x's and o's from?  Most reports say Haith is a good recruiter with mediocre coaching.  810 said that Fuller isn't and x&o guy, but is a fantastic recruiter.

They better go hire a JC coach who can bring a slightly above average player with him and said coach has a preternatural feel for switching offenses mideseason which will most certainly come in handy down the line.

St John on BP this morning said Michael Dixon tweeted something about "coach Nestor ran us through a good workout today"  and then deleted it.  So it looks like Ernie Nestor will also be on staff.

Jason Anderson (680 in Louisville) says Cardinals fear losing 2012 commit Rodney Purvis to Duke more than MU even with Tim Fuller at Mizzou.

Mike Dixon accidentally (I guess) revealed that Ernie Nestor is going to be on the staff too, which makes three coaches from Nestor’s Elon staff. Really liking the thought of Fuller as a recruiter to go alongside Nestor’s X&O role.
