Umm, we would have to win out (inclding Phillips 66) to even have a chance at a 1, jfc.

Negative. First of all recently the committee has not placed MUCH emphasis on conference tourneys when assigning #1 seeds. Win the next 4 and the #1 is a lock, teams generally in the top 3 in the polls and RPI have no problem with 1 seeds. Winning out would give KSU a 1 seed in either Houston or St. Louis. Kentucky likely gets STL.
