Title: Super big merged threads on one topic
Post by: WildCatzPhreak on April 07, 2011, 09:06:38 PM
Makes me want to click on them less, you know?  Kind of like a TL;DR thing.

If there's a new article/update released on a popular subject, I want to know about that.  I'm not going to comb through 96 pages of crap to find it though.

Would be a good solution, but can you do that by board?  I don't really care about new posts anywhere but the OOD board.  And even then only about half the stuff in there.

Click on unread posts and pick which ones you want.  Or yeah, you can go to the OOD board, and all the topics with new posts have the "new" button that you can click on from there.

I HATE forums that let every single person post their own thread. Especially on gopo when someone calls out another poster in a new thread, referencing another thread, in a sea of similar topics.

without the thankless work of mods like the mods here, this forum would just be another one of those forums. scary to think about imo but hey we're all just posters in a bbs world, that's what they say.

no merging threads means no mods means nuclear war.  no survivors.

You humongous threads and the lack of clutter and people feeling the need to start a thread about every little dumbass thing is one of the greatest hallmarks of goEMAW.com.

Unnamed sources placed me at the tubby's calendar contest dressing rooms last night, i.e. gpc world headquarters.  Could a deal be imminent?
