So I thought that if you're an undocumented immigrant, having a child born here (i.e. "Anchor Baby") is your ticket to staying in the country?

In an estimate published by the Urban Institute in 2010, more than 100,000 immigrant parents of U.S. citizen children have been deported in the last 10 years.

Compare with:

Camarota, whose group advocates tougher immigration controls, notes that immigration law grants legal status each year to several thousand undocumented immigrants who argue hardship, including the presence of a U.S.-born child.

More than 3,200 people were granted so-called cancellation of removal in 2009, according to data from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.


Seems that it's several times more likely than not the Anchor Baby justification fails.

why would such a dignified man wear such a silly hat?

I seriously don't think a baby would be able to keep a boat from drifting.  Maybe if you used a whole bunch of babies and filled them with water first.

Is "undocumented immigrant" the lefts new way of saying "illegal alien"?  It's getting very hard to keep up with their bullshit.

Nothing worse than illegals free loading on welfare and taking our jerbs then claiming they can't go home cause they got into the states before their kid came out of the womb.
